NEW AND OLD PROJECTS.........

I started a new quilt...😄 My niece, Zoe, asked me to make her a Lap Quilt, to keep her legs warm when she is on the bench waiting to preform. This is Zoe in full dress preforming at one of their shows. What is a Color Guard?  You can read all about it HERE.

So I'm making her one...It will be made with flags and some other "stuff" to do with Color Guard.  I got one flag done...so I'll be working on this quilt today.

This is the whole Color Guard.

They recently went to State Finals,  there were 60 bands preforming at the state finals.  Zoe's group was in the B class, they won 4th place.

I also got my RSC2021 Baskets done, it's a filmsy.  If your wondering about the border, the baskets reminded me of a basket my grandmother used to gather eggs.  So I thought some "farm fabric" was appropriate .  All the baskets are made from my scrap bags.

NEW BLOG HEADER....

I've been admiring Jocelyn's blog header for awhile.  I really like it lots...head over to Canadian Needle Nana's place to check it out.  So I decided to make one of my own.  Here is what I came up with.

MY NEW HEADER

It has everything I need to quilt, crochet and embroider.  What do you think???  Let me know.  What else have I been working on, you may ask.  Well, I pulled out my Christmas Sampler and started working on that this week.  I got my tree all decorated....

I got row 4 of Alexis's quilt on...and row 5 is ready to sew on.

I laid out my RSC 2021 basket blocks...I need 2 more blocks and I've laid out some fabric for the sashing....now to make a decision on what color to use.  Black, yellow print, and a blue green print...decision time....suggestions are welcome.

SOME OF THIS AND SOME OF THAT.......

 Hi everyone,

Hope you all are well...not me.  I've caught a cold.  The grands got it first, the first week of school.  Now it's spreading to the rest of us.

What have I been working on....Alexis's quilt. .RSC 2021, and my National Day Calendar Block.  I've got 2 blocks done for Alexis's quilt.  A couple Jar blocks.

This jar is a little wonky, but it's ok with me.  I also got my green RSC basket block done.

And my National Day Calendar block done.  October 1st was International Coffee Day.  So I made a mug.

That's about it....haven't started tying the Candy Hearts, but it's in the hoop...hope to get to it this coming week, along with cutting the fabric for the binding.  Hope you all have an awesome sewing Saturday.

July. National Zip Code Day

August, National Bowling Day

I also got my August RSC 2021 block done.  Aqua Basket.

AUGUST ALREADY......

July just flew by...I didn't get a whole lot done in July..just a few things done.  I did get my Salt and Sand quilt top finished into a filmsy.  Which will be my OMG, PHD, WOOFA, OPAM projects this month.

The quilt top needs to be sandwiched, tied and binding added.

I am working on getting my RSC 2020 together.  It's a slow process...hand sewing through 4 layers of fabric with "stuff" in the way is hard on the fingers.  I've got 2 rows together.  There will be 10 blocks in each row with 6 rows making the quilt top.  I haven't got the room to lay it out....so this is a partial row.  If your wondering what the heck this is...it's a crazy quilt.  The blocks are 6 1/2".

As for today, I'm working on my RSC 2021 block, I'm making baskets this year.  This month the color is Aqua.

I'm also making a National Day Calendar Quilt.  Which I'm behind on making one block a month.  I've got Jan through April done...June is Pink Day....I've got a cute pink dress, it will need some embellishment before it's done.  But it's pinned and ready.

That's it for today...I'm linking up with....

As for me, I've got 2 blocks to work on.  I totally forgot to make my July block for RSC 2021.  So I've got my little basket cut and pinned.

I also have coupe of hearts to do for Alexis quilt.  It is also pinned and ready to go.

I'm also putting my RSC 2020 together.  I've got 2 rows done.

I've also pulled my orange fabrics out.  What for you might ask?  It's for the Orange You Glad Blog Hop...are you playing along?  Now I just need to figure out what to do with all this ORANGE.!🌝

Well, that's it for today.  Hope you have an awesome Slow Stitching.....

ALMOST THERE.....

Today is the last day of May...my OPAM project for May is the Teapot Quilt.  It is almost done...it will be finished today...so I'll make my deadline.  This quilt is also my WOOFA project.

I've also added some yellow to the Red Work quilt....I'm not really happy with this color as an alternate block....Mr. Seam Ripper is coming out of the drawer today!  Back to the drawing board...have any ideas as to what color to use for alternate blocks....while making my RSC basket block, I got the idea to put baskets between the red work blocks.  Now to figure out what color to make the blocks.

I've got my Purple RSC basket block done.

Well, I guess that's it for today...hope you all have an AWESOME...

Today for A to Z the letter is D...for Duck.  Want to know more about Ducks...Wikipedia has a lot of info HERE.

Today is my birthday and Easter.  Since Easter is never on the same date every year...my birthday comes on Easter occasionally.  So I'll be in the kitchen a lot today.  Cooking Easter dinner.  In between cooking, I'll be doing some stitching.  Finishing up my Basket for RSC 2021.

I'll also be working on the letter E for tomorrow's A to Z Challenge.  Here's glimpse of what that will be...know what it is?
