SUNDAY STITCHING.....

 I'm currently trying to get my SAHRR to filmsy stage.  I have to finish up the embroidery of the butterflies, give the farmer a face and put the names on the Garden Signs.  And I also need to decide on border color.  I'll have to think about this one for awhile.

I've also go my Blue Birdhouse for RSC 2022 all pinned down.  I'm going to change the pole to a brown, the blue doesn't work for me.  The same applies to the perch piece.

These 2 items are what I'll be working on today for my Slow Sunday Stitching.....I'll do the blue birdhouse first and then move on to the SAHRR.

If I get tired of these 2, I've always got my Tiny Tiles as a back-up.

LOTS OF SCRAPS TODAY.....

I started this quilt in 1916, so it's been in the making for a while.  I've used all scraps for this quilt...so I thought it would be appropriate to share it for Scrap Happy Saturday, being hosted over at So Scrappy. My  Crazy Quilt is in the hoop to be tied.  Couldn't use yarn..I'm going through 5 layers of fabric, and the yarn wouldn't go....so I had to use a thinner tying material.  I am using Doily thread.  It's thin enough to go through the fabric.  I just started tying it a couple days ago, so haven't gotten very far.

I've also been working on my Tiny Tiles quilt.  I've added 6 more to my pile.

I'm going to have to make some decisions on how to put this together.  I know I'll be adding a strip between the rows.  But with all the different colors....I'll have to lay some out to see what color to use.  Any and all suggestions are welcome.  Have a wonderful......

PROGRESS AND SOMETHING NEW.......

 I'm making progress on my Quilty 365 project.  The last 3 are finished, just need to put the borders around them and sew them together.

I'm making progress on the SAHRR.  1 more side of bugs to sew down.

I also started a new project, as if I need another one, but it's so cute.  It's called Hand Picked....your can read all about it......HERE.

 And I got a couple more Tiny Tiles finished.  My pile is growing.

PROGRESS ON 2 AND SCRAPPY.....

 Tiny Tiles.  My pile of Tiny Tiles is growing.  I think it's time to start putting them together.

I put the border around the Christmas Sampler yesterday.  I really like the blue border!

And I put the border around the Dresden Plate.  I'm not sure about the black checked fabric....I may have to change that one.  I haven't sewed it on yet...so I can change if I want.

PLANNING.......

 does not always goes as planned.  I was going to sandwich the National Day Calendar quilt this week, but as usual I got sidetracked.  So it's at the top of my list of things to do today.  This is also my OMG project for January.

What I'm stitching on today for Slow Sunday Stitching is the Polar Bear blocks....they have been appliqued down and now I'm putting all the embroidery on them...

Are you doing the Polar Bear Plunge Blog Hop?  My day to post about mine is January 27th.  I've got 5 blocks finished.

I made a few more Tiny Tiles,  they go together pretty fast.  But it's going to take a lot of them!  These are for Scarp Happy.

 I finally made up my mind for the RSC 2022, I'm doing bird houses.  This will be the first one, red of course.  I'll be cutting my fabric for this today.

HI ALL.....

 Hope you all had a great Christmas.  We got lots of presents, good food to eat...and visits with family.  I got some new foot ware.

I also got some new yarn...Red Heart Caron,  one of my favorites.  And I've already started a new Afghan with it.

I did get some sewing in....I got a couple more Christmas Sampler blocks done.  I laid it out on the design floor this morning to see what I've got done.  I'm going to need a few more blocks!

I also worked on my Tiny Tiles.  My pile is growing

IT'S BEEN A WHILE.....

since I posted anything.  So I thought I'd make a PROGRESS  report.

The Candy Hearts is getting it's binding.  I cut the binding yesterday and started the binding last night.  I decided to go with yellow for the binding.  It's really yellow, but it looks like a yellowish green.

 I also got a few more Flags done for Zoe's quilt.  You can about this HERE.

I've been adding more to my Tiny Tiles.  I've got a big bag of tiny scraps I've been using.  I hate throwing them away.

STITCHING TIME..........

 Over at Kathy's place, it's Sunday Stitching.  So I'll be stitching today, maybe outside, the sun is shining and the temps are coming up.  It was 49 this morning when I got up.  Just a little to chilly for me.    And what will I be stitching on.  Well, I have a couple projects to work on.😀  

I've got to cut some more strips to put on the border of the Candy Hearts.

I also added a couple for Tiny Tiles to the pile.

I've been working on Alexis's quilt.  When I make a new quilt, I always cut to may pieces, so Alexis's quilt is made with all my extra pieces...I had a heart left over from the Candy Hearts.  So I cut around it....don't worry, the fabric I cut around it goes into my scrap bag, so I decided to put a little embroidery around it.

As for today, I'll be stitching on my Band Sample...I'm using it like a journal of everything that has happened here for 2021.  I've got up to June...now onto July.  That's what I'm working on today.

IT'S TUESDAY......

 so it's time to post my progress on my To-Do List from last week..To-Do Tuesday is hosted by Linda over at Texas Quilt Gal...hop over and see what everyone has on their list.

Last week's list...

1. Sew another RSC 2020 row on.👎

2. Make some more String blocks.✔

3. Start a new embroidery project.👎

Well, it was a bad week for my list.  But I did get Salt and Sand, and the Orange Quilt sandwiched.  And Salt and Sand is in the hoop and I've started tying it.

I did get a couple more String blocks done.  

Mostly this week I've been working on my Tiny Tile blocks.  I've got a nice little pile of them.

As for the RSC 2020  project....I need to put it in my To-Do Box so I remember to work on it.  Right now it's in another box, clear on the other side of the room...out of site, out of mind I guess.  As for the New Embroidery Project...didn't start a new one, but have been working on my Daisy embroidery.  It's coming along nicely.  Although it has a few boo boo's, but this is learning process for me...learning new stitches and techniques.  I still like the project. and the way it's using blended floss.  If you want to check this out, head over to  Mary Corbet's Needle N Thread...she has a whole series of embroidery projects to work on.

STITCHING AND T.V.......

 What do you do while your stitching away...watch t.v., videos, listen to music.  I watch t.v. on my computer...I subscribe to several streaming services...I hate watching commercials!  I was working on my Candy Hearts, but ran out of black embroidery floss.  

So I picked up my Tiny Tiles and worked on them.  I've been pulling out some of my scraps of Novelty Fabric to use on these.

I also got my RSC Basket done...Orange.

I got 2 quilts sandwiched and one is in the hoop.

Salt and Sand is in the hoop.

And the Orange Quilt is waiting it's turn to be tied.

STITCHING........

 I've been stitching my Candy Hearts.  They start like this...I pin them down and do needle turn applique.

Then the heart is ready for the words.  Which I hand embroider.

Once I have 5 of them done...I put the dark blue strip on and do it all over again.

I've also been working on my tiny tiles.  I get a lot of little scraps when I'm working on my String Quilt.  so I'm making the Tiny Tiles.  The fabric s what ever I have, which is either unbleached Muslin or Bleached Muslin.  I cut the squares 4 1/2" and start sewing the shapes down.  That's what I will be working on today, the Candy Hearts and the Tiny Tiles.
