What have I been working on? What I would like to read? Well.....I've kind of been all over the place the last few months. Plus I am just now getting over a nasty cold, so haven't gotten much of anything done. So first off, I've got a quilt in the hoop I want to tie. It's a tiny Easter Quilt.
As for embroidery...my 365 Buttons and Stitches project. Haven't put anything on this for 2 days.
As for the weather.....well it's still winter, don't care what the groundhog said. The kids were out playing in the snow, having lots of fun.
As for what I've been reading.....I've started a book called HomeGoing by Yaa Gyasi. Have gotten very far yet so can't give my opinion. But I've got lots of TBR books on my list. Would like to read some of them, but other books keep side tracking me. So thought I'd ask your opinion on what to read. They are linked to Amazon if you want to find out something about the books. Just leave me a comment on your vote as to which one I should read.
The Identicals - Elen Hilderbrand
Death Masks - Jim Butcher
The Giver - Lois Lowry

Cute little projects! When my youngest son was in elementary school he read the book The Giver. At that time he recommended that I read it as well. It was very thought provoking!
ReplyDeleteI voted for Death Masks - Jim Butcher
ReplyDeleteThose projects are really awesome!
Cute little Easter quilt! Nice to see other people's progress on buttons and stitches.
ReplyDeleteI see you dabble in a little bit of everything! saw on your sidebar next book up is John Sandford - one of my favorites
ReplyDeleteCute Easter quilt...you should be able to get it done on time
ReplyDeleteI’m glad the kids are enjoying the snow. Homegoing is on my TBR list, so I’ll be interested to hear your thoughts. Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteAj @ Read All The Things!
The Easter style quilt is very sweet.
ReplyDeleteI love the quilt! I'm voting for Death Masks. I really love the cover. I hope you enjoy whichever one wins.

I would love to know how to quilt! You do a great job :)
ReplyDeleteI vote for The Giver because I love dystopians. Hope you enjoy whichever book wins.
I hope you are feeling better, Sherrie! This flu/cold season seems to be hitting everyone so hard.
ReplyDeleteI hope you enjoyed Homegoing. I have that on my TBR pile to read one of these days. Your picks to read for the month all sound good. It's been years since I read the Giver. I have to go with Jim Butcher's Death Masks though because I adore Harry Dresden. I hope you enjoy whichever wins! Have a great weekend!
Nothing like the joy of kids playing in the snow.
ReplyDeleteThanks for joining in on the Jan prompt!
