SOME STITCHING GOING ON.......

I am still stitching away at some of my projects...I've got way to many going on...some days I can't decide which one to do..
....working on my frog(wall hanging or small quilt) haven't made up my mind on that one.  Need to get the ABC quilt sandwiched and in the hoop.  Add the last row of leaves to my Indiana Leaf Quilt.  But I've got one project I really want to get started on....My Bee quilt...I want to hand quilt it.  It's been tucked away in storage for about 15 years.
This is just the lower left corner.  I've started quilting it and quit.  I've joined a HQAL to get some motivation.  Hoping this helps.  Here are all the folks joining this HQAL....check them out.

The Door of No Return - Sarah Mussi

I knew something was wrong the minute I shut the door of number 13, Arrowsmith House, Tuffley.  I'd lived there as long as I could remember.  What I didn't now was I'd just closed the door on that part of my like.

The Friday 56

It was always the same of story.  Pops told it over and over, as if nobody had heard it before.  That him and me were the descendants of King Baktu.

Wordless Wednesday....and Welcome to my World
In the spring...we get lots of rain..so far the rain is almost 5 inches.  And it's suppose to rain more next week.  This picture is what we call "Outback".  It's a field behind our barn.  There are tadpoles, worms, and on occasions....ducks here.  My son usually buys some minnows to throw in there to eat the mosquitoes.

"I don't think so," she said.  "She wasn't killed here, so I don't think they'd have any reason to.  Evan if they did," she add, "they would do it for the nights she was here, not for an hour ago."

Over at Pintangle this week, the embroidery stitch is Basque Stitch...this is my Basque Stitch...
The new embroidery stitch I learned is Whipped Chain....

SPRING OR SUMMER.......

We are having a mix of Spring and Summer weather here.  It has rained everyday for the last 2 weeks.  Several of those days were downpours.......the rest were just rain a little and then stop....continuing like this all day.  So everything is wet...wet...wet.
The last couple of days it has been in the low 60's and 70's, with high humidity.  According to the calendar it is still spring....but it feels a lot like summer.
Everything is blooming or about to bloom around here.  The grass is growing really fast.

The Rose Bush I planted two years ago is loaded with blooms...
The front garden is a little bare....haven't planted anything new this spring.  The Hosta's and lillies are doing good. Thinking about some petunias and marigolds to keep the flamingos and gnomes company.
This is what I call a "Lost Cause Garden".  I've planted lots of stuff here, but nothing seems to grow, except the weeds and grass.  Right now it's a collection of garden pots and other decorations.
Hope everyone has a wonderful.....

A LITTLE OF THIS AND THAT......

I have company for a few days...my niece Zoey is here for 2 weeks...and Jazmane, my sons girlfriend's sister is staying a few days.  My routine gets disrupted,  I don't like change, but I learn to adapt...my reading and quilting goes to the side, with snips of each along the way.

Last week I got a few Crazy Quilt blocks made...
I finished the book I was reading...Green Lake by S. K. Epperson....you can see my review at my Book Blog....Just Books!!!!

I started a new book....All Lies by Andrew Cunningham....you can check it out here.
I got the Scrappy Happy Quilt out of the hoop and started putting the binding on.
That's the stitching I'll be doing today....adding more binding.

I was walking around the yard looking at the flowers blooming...the Tulips were really pretty this year, but didn't last long....all the constant rain beat them up.

SCRAPPY GREEN......

Over at So Scrappy, it's still green for the color this month.  I made a couple more Crazy Quilt blocks.
Someone asked last week about my Quilt Journal and how those pieces of fabric pinned in the corners of the block work into my journal....
This is a spread in my journal on Crazy Quilt blocks....
I have a picture of the block, samples of threads used, fabrics used....and I list how many buttons, ribbons, laces, or what ever else I use for embellishments.

I'm also sharing a picture of my sons dogs...for Camera Critters....he has always had dachshunds...he's had 6 of them over the years...Dachshunds have a life span of about 8 to 10 years.  When he would loose one, he would go find another one.  The latest one is Toby....Toby is a rescue dog...my son drove to Illinois to get him...this is Toby snoozing....
This is a collage of his dogs...
Have a great.....

She wasn't my first online dating match, but she was certainly the strangest.  And it wasn't like I hadn't had some weird ones.

The Friday 56

I got to Sabrina's room at about 10:15.  She greeted me wearing jeans and a Red Sox t-shirt.  She was barefoot.  I was in love!

The question this week:

If you own an ebook, would you also purchase a print copy as well?

No, I don't really like re-reading a book.  I can't get interested in the book, as I've already read it and know what's going to happen...so it's like a spoiler for me.

See all my book reviews at my book blog....Just Books!!!

2. ABC Quilt
3. Happy Scrappy Quilt
4. Jar Quilt
