SNOW....REALLY!

Yesterday evening it started snowing.  And snowed into the wee hours of today.  We got about 4 or 5 inches of the white stuff.

While it was snowing last night, I worked on my Salt and Sand Quilt....added the last of the fish to the outside border.  The quilt is moving along at a slow pace, but I'll get there.

And I can't forget the A to Z Blogging Challenge....today's letter is R.....for...

If your wondering about all the white space on some of my blocks....I will be embroidering ( the letter is for) .and the item on the block.

NOT JUST QUILTS.....

It's showing signs of Spring here.  Temps in the 50's and 60's.  Lots of rainy day, with lots of sunny days.  Which is a great combination for growing.  The Tulips are up, no buds yet, and the Daffodils have bloomed and gone.  My Forsythia Bush is blooming.

The leaves are starting to pop out on the Maple trees.  This picture isn't very good to show the leaves, but believe me, they are there.

While I was out roaming around the yard, I saw something red in the Maple Tree...it was a Red Headed Woodpecker.  He was pecking away at the tree.

As for quilts....I put the last side of binding on the Frog Quilt last night.  It will be finished today...my post about this will be up tomorrow.

I was doing laundry a lot that week....as the girls did a lot of exploring...

PHOTOS.......WHY NOT

Wordless Wednesday....and Welcome to my World
In the spring...we get lots of rain..so far the rain is almost 5 inches.  And it's suppose to rain more next week.  This picture is what we call "Outback".  It's a field behind our barn.  There are tadpoles, worms, and on occasions....ducks here.  My son usually buys some minnows to throw in there to eat the mosquitoes.

Wondrous Words

Haven't got any new words from a book this week, I got this one while playing Scrabble on my computer.

DOWN MEMORY LANE......

 WORDLESS WEDNESDAY

I was cleaning some files on my computer and found this...When the twins were 2 or 3, they loved being outside.  Bella would sit for the longest time playing with her toys...and eventually Bub would come over to see what she was doing.  This was taken May 2012......

WELCOME TO MY WORLD

I don't know how many dishes I've washed over the  years .....but 40 years of it was standing here, looking out the kitchen window.  This is one of my favorite pictures....

 WONDROUS WORDS WEDNESDAY

I was playing Scrabble the other day (on my computer) I asked for a hint and this is the word the game put up.....Zoeae....didn't know that word, so went to Google...

Zoeae
a larval form of certain crustaceans, such as the crab, having a spiny carapace and rudimentary limbs on the abdomen and thorax.
