STITCHING TIME......

Do you make time for stitching...any kind of stitching?  I am always working on some project or another every evening while I'm watching T.V.  When do you stitch?

I've been working on my Teapot quilt, I got some of the strips sewed on...but I'm going to need a few more cups to finish this quilt up.  It needs 1 more row on it and then I'll put the border around it.

I've also been working on my Tile Quilt.  I've got enough of them done to make a row.  Not sure what kind of border to put on them, I'll have to think about that one.

And the Jar Quilt is still in the hoop, haven't had time to tie it.  With Thanksgiving cooking and having Company all week, I haven't had time to work on it.

I've decided on my binding fabric.  Have to get that cut today.  It won't take long to tie this one.  I've got a few more little touches to make to the jars and I'll be done with this one.

TO-DO TUESDAY....

To-Do Tuesday

 November 17th through November 24th

1.  Sandwich and tie the Jar Quilt👎

2. Decide on binding for Jar Quilt 👎

3.  Work on lay-out of RSC blocks👎

4.  Make a decision for Fall Sampler👎

Well, that's not a good result this week.  Although I got the Jar Quilt sandwiched and in the hoop.

As for the binding for this quilt..I think I'm going to got with this light brown.  It's the one in the front.  The strips on the jar quilt are a dark brown, so thought this would go with it.  What do you think?

Still thinking about the Fall Sampler, can't quite make up my mind on this one.  I've been side tracked by the Teapot Quilt and my Tile blocks this week.  I started putting the Teapot quilt together.

So it's been kind of a productive week.  Just the wrong items for my list.  My new list for next week...

November 24th through November 30th

1.  Tie the Jar Quilt...start the binding???

2.  Do some more Tile Blocks

3.  Finish putting the Teapot quilt together.

It's also TAST Tuesday over at Pintangle...the stitch this week is Twisted Chain Stitch or Rope Stitch..head over and check them out.

Hope you all

WORKING...

on my Tile blocks.  I got 3 done and started another...these are 12.5 inch blocks..so it shouldn't take too many to get a quilt top together.

I also got my Jar Quilt sandwiched and is in the hoop, ready to be tied.

Is anyone doing the Virtual Cookie Exchange Blog Hop??  My day for posting is coming up fast...so I gathered everything I need to work on my project.....can you guess what it will be?  My day for posting is December 1st.  Hope to see you during the blog hop.

3. Work on Fall Sampler quilt👎

I only got one thing done from my list last week...Yippeee, the Umbrella Quilt is done.

The Jar Quilt will get sandwiched today.

And the Fall Sampler is in limbo.  I can't seem to make up my mind as to where I want to go on this quilt.  I've been on line looking at fall samplers...there are some pretty ones, but not what I'm looking for.  I'll keep looking and maybe an idea will come to me.  This quilt will more than likely get pushed into 2021.

My list for...

2. Decide on binding for Jar Quilt

3.  Work on lay-out of RSC blocks

IT'S THURSDAY AGAIN......

so here's my likes for Thursday.

I got my new glasses, I'm still getting adjusted to them.  If you've ever got new glasses you'll know what I mean...not only the adjustment of the frame, but if your lenses got stronger you'll have to adjust to those as well.  This is me in my new glasses.  {NOTE: to see the picture larger, just click on it.}

And this is me in my old glasses.

I also got my new fabric I ordered from Hobby Lobby.  I'm dying to cut it up and make a new quilt...😀

Aren't they beautiful, I think I'm going to use some of the shades of brown in my Fall Sampler.

I've been working on getting the binding on the Umbrella Quilt...one more side to do...and put the label on it.

We had our book club meeting...outside and socially apart...we got Where'd You Go, Bernadette by Maria Semple.

I'm still watching The X Files on Hulu.  I didn't realize this show had 11 seasons.  I'm on season 5..so I've got a few more to go.  I watched this years ago...I remember some of them, but most of them I don't remember.

The weather here has turned cold again this week...last week it was in the upper 60's and sunny.  Today it's 46 but feels like 41.  The wind is blowing, but the sun is shinning.

Well, I think that's it for this week.  Hop over to Not Afraid of Color to see what everyone else likes this week.

 is about books...the 3 W's stand for....WWW Wendesday

What are you currently reading?

Where's You Go, Bernadette - Maria Semple

Synopsis

Bernadette Fox is notorious. To her Microsoft-guru husband, she's a fearlessly opinionated partner; to fellow private-school mothers in Seattle, she's a disgrace; to design mavens, she's a revolutionary architect; and to 15-year-old Bee, she is her best friend and, simply, Mom.

Then Bernadette vanishes. It all began when Bee aced her report card and claimed her promised reward: a family trip to Antarctica. But Bernadette's intensifying allergy to Seattle -- and people in general -- has made her so agoraphobic that a virtual assistant in India now runs her most basic errands. A trip to the end of the earth is problematic.

To find her mother, Bee compiles email messages, official documents, and secret correspondence -- creating a compulsively readable and surprisingly touching novel about misplaced genius and a mother and daughter's role in an absurd world.

What did you recently finish reading?

Loving Frank - Nancy Horan

Synopsis

I have been standing on the side of life, watching it float by. I want to swim in the river. I want to feel the current.

So writes Mamah Borthwick Cheney in her diary as she struggles to justify her clandestine love affair with Frank Lloyd Wright. Four years earlier, in 1903, Mamah and her husband, Edwin, had commissioned the renowned architect to design a new home for them. During the construction of the house, a powerful attraction developed between Mamah and Frank, and in time the lovers, each married with children, embarked on a course that would shock Chicago society and forever change their lives.   { NOTE:  I didn't really like this book.  Way too much information to keep track of..it was totally confusing at times trying to keep up with who was who and where they fit into the story.}

What do you think you’ll read next?

Not sure, at this time I'm only reading one book,  although I have a long list of books on my TBR list.  You can find list in my TABS at the top of my blog.  Maybe I'll read one of those.  Have any suggestions on what to read next??  Let me know.

Have a great....

RE-ORGANIZATION....

My desk finally broke...

had to put a new desk in...

So I've been re-organizing a lot of my "stuff".  That's what I've been doing for a few days...so haven't got to work on any quilt "stuff".  Now I need to put labels on all my containers so I can find everything.  I did manage to work on my Santa block last night.  He's almost finished...one more box and a few bows to embroider.

I did a little work on my May RSC blocks...the color for May is Pink.  The little white flowers needs some beads and this block is done.

So that's all got done the past few days.  Hoping to get back to the Umbrella quilt.  I'm putting the binding on now.  I'll be working on this today.

Playing Catch Up....

I'm behind on posting my To-Do Tuesday...so I'm doing it today.  Yesterday just slipped away and I didn't even realize it was Tuesday...that's bad!  My list from:

 October 20th through October 27

1. Finish the Crazy Quilt blocks.👎

2. Finish the embroidery for the Fall Sampler.

3. Clean my desk from top to bottom...it's really messy at the moment.👎

1 item from my list got done...it wasn't a good week.  Although I did get the Umbrella quilt tied and started the binding.  I decided on black for the binding, not other reason except I already had black binding ready to go.

As for the Crazy quilt blocks..I'm all caught up with the colors...just have to finish embellishing 15 blocks..I've got 4 done and working on 1.  I'm working on the April blocks right now.  4 of 5 is done.  I won't post all 5 just yet, but this one is my favorite of the 5.

This block has a memory in it.  See the blue plaid, that's one of my old flannel shirts I cut up.  And the brown tags on the left, they came from the shirt.

I did finish the block I was working on for my Fall Sample...as a matter of fact I done another one..this is the Hello Fall block.

And this is the Scarecrow and Pumpkins.

My list for:

November 3rd through November 9th

1. Finish the binding and label on the Umbrella quilt

2. Finish the April RSC blocks/start the May blocks

3. Sandwich the Jar Quilt.

As it's Wednesday, instead of Tuesday, I'll be hoping you have an awesome...

MONDAY AGAIN.....

Where do the days go??  And the time, we went back an hour this past weekend.  Did you remember to sit your clocks back?  I have 6 clocks in my house...I missed one.

So this morning I got up, thinking it was 9:00am, but it was really 8:00am.  I forgot to set the clock by my bed.  Oh well, what's an hour anyway...time to get some housework done....nope, work on a quilt...yes.  Which leads me to my OMG project for November.  I'll be working on my Jar Quilt.  It needs sandwiched, tied and binding cut.  I'll also be using this one for the UFO Number Draw Challenge.

I've also been working on getting the rest of my RSC blocks done.  I have April,  May and June to finish.  April is Light Blue, May is Dark Green and June is Pink...the blocks are done, just have to embellish them.  I've got 1 done for April.

I'll be working on my Umbrella quilt today...I will be tying it.

I've also been working on my Christmas and Fall Samplers.  They have been mostly embroidery blocks..
