Over at Not Afraid of Color, it's I Like Thursdays...hop over and check out her post.  As for me, my likes are....

The Frog Quilt is making progress.  All the Frogs and Lily Pads are applied down..facial features on the frogs...All that's left is to put the borders around the blocks.  Then I can start laying it out.  All the blocks waiting to finished...

I've got some green fabric laid out for the borders.  These are 1 1/2" strips sewed together in random colors ways.  The baggie is holding the strips I've cut.

I have also been enjoying my latest book from my library.  This is book #26 of the Alex Cross series by James Patterson.  I've read them all...yep, you read right.  This book is all about a conspiracy to topple our U. S. Government.  The book is....

Target Alex Cross by James Patterson

Want to read more about this book.  Just click on the link...the title of the book...and you will go to the page at Amazon.

We recently subscribed to Peacock. It's a streaming program with lots of movies and t.v. shows.  I'm currently watching Law and Order: Criminal Intent.  I've wanted to watch this program for a while, but could never find it anywhere else that was streaming it.

This series focuses on the NYPD's Major Case Squad, a force of detectives who investigate high-profile cases.  I'm on season 3 right now, and really enjoying the program.

When I'm working on a quilt I watch t.v. on my commercials.  When not watching t.v. or working on a quilt, I'm reading a book.  Hope you all....

I decided to dig out my Red Work pieces and see what I can do with them.  I've had these for years.  It's time to do something with them.

They are all baskets with flowers.  Now to decide what to use for the filler blocks....I've got some pretty new red fabric...but which one to use.  The picture makes the fabrics and baskets look pink, but they are red..What do you think?  Let me know what you think.

I've been working on my Frog quilt...this is what it looked like. I took it apart and made a few more different colored frogs and lily pads.

This is what it looks like now...I call it the Frog Mess...cause it's a mess right now.

It started out as a Wall Hanging, but I liked the way it was turning it is now going to be a quilt.  I've been working on it...still have lots to do to get it to a flimsy.  But I really like the process of applique and embroidery....and i like figuring out the way I want it put together.   I'm sure every quilter goes through this process.  But before you get there, it's a lot of sewing, laying out, and figuring out how you want this project to come together.  So for now this is my main project I'm working on.

I'm also working on my Tile Quilt...still adding strips to the pieces..I laid it out this week to see what needs done..I need a few more I'm still making blocks and adding strips.

I'm also keeping track of my stitching time this year.  This is what I have so far for January:

15 minutes per day this week = 7/7 days
15 minutes per day in January = 21/24 days
15 minutes per day in 2021 = 21/24 days

TO - DO......

I've been kind of obsessed with working on 2 projects this week.  But, I'm getting ahead of myself.  My To-do list last week.

January 12th through January 18th

1. Sandwich, tie and bind Sunbonnet Sue. 👎

2. Cut stripes for Tile blocks.✔

3.  Work on more of the Frog blocks.

I didn't get Sunbonnet Sue sandwiched.  I just can't get in the mood to do this.  So Sunbonnet Sue, Overall Sam, and the Teapot quilt is still laying on the table waiting to be finished.  At this time, I'm working on the Frogs and Tiles Blocks.  I started putting the stripes on the Tile Quilt.  I really like this color for the stripes.  Don't know where or why I bought this fabric, but I really like it.

The frogs are coming along.  But I'm going to have to rip it apart to re-arrange the colors.  Too many green frogs and lily pads. I've also got to put more embroidery on the lily Sharon's Pintagle is the perfect place to find those embroidery stitches.  Head over and check her place out, she has a stich dictionary to find any stitch you want.  So, this is where I am now...

So this is what I've been doing for the last 2 weeks.  What have you been working on??

To-Do List for

January 19th though January 25th

1.  Work on Tile Quilt

2. Work on Frog Quilt

3. Sandwich Sunbonnet Sue, really, NO EXCUSES!!!

I've been working on 2 projects this week.  It's kind of in the slow progress right now.  Putting strips on them .  One I'm making stripes around them.  It's the Frog Quilt.

I'm using my scraps of greens to make the stripes around the frogs and lily pads.  This started out as a wall hanging, but I liked it so much, I'm now making a quilt.

The other project I'm working on is the Tile Quilt.  Started putting the stripes between the blocks.  I asked for suggestions on a color scheme last week, and I really like the color I'm using for the stripes.  It makes the blocks stand out better.

So that's what I've been doing with scraps this week.  Hop over to Oh! Scraps to see what everyone is working on.

Is anyone doing the Rainbow Challenge?  You can find out more about this over a So Scrappy....I'm sure a lot of folks are.  I'm doing this one too.  The month of January color is Pink...Last years challenge was way too much for me.  So I'm doing one block a month.  I might get this one done on time and finished.  This is my pink basket.

Just waiting for February to roll around so I can do the next basket.

What I'll be doing today....Cutting stripes for my Tile Blocks...want to get this done, so I can make some more Tile blocks.  I really hat having to do away with all those tiny scraps you can't use anywhere.  Hope you all have a great scrappy....

The main thing is....the SUN is shining today.  It's been a gray gloomy week here.  So seeing the sun is AWESOME!!

I was over at LA Paylor's place and she's got some awesome quilts to show.  Hop over and check them out...oh, did I mention she is the host for I Like Thursdays.  That's another reason to like Thursdays.

I like that I'm making progress on my Frogs Quilt.  I did a red frog last night...he still needs some embroidery done on his face.

I got some yarn for Christmas.

So I started an Afghan, the pattern is from the February issue of Crochet World.

In the same magazine, there is a pattern for a scrappy afghan.  I have lots of  left over yarns from previous projects, so I started a Scrappy Afghan.

I've also gotten all my UFO's figured out...made a list of the quilts I want to finish this year....but may run into 2022.  We'll see how that goes.  All of these quilts are either a filmsy, needs more blocks, or close to being finished.  All I have to do is get busy and FINISH them!  Which is one of the things I hate about quilting, putting them together.  You can read all about it in my PHD tab at the top of my blog, and pictures of the quilt blocks

I missed a couple To-do Tuesday's, so I'm starting new with this list.  I've got 3 quilts that need to be sandwiched, tied and bound.  I keep adding them to my list, but can't seem to get into the mood to do I'm going to do them one at a time.  Hoping this helps!!  Have you heard of National Day?  You can find all the info about this holiday at Wikipedia...I saw a quilt made of the National Days.  I want to make one.  My quilt will be made for the Year of the child.  I've got the first block done,  there are lots of items to choose days from...I choose Winnie the Pooh Day,  January 18th.  for my January block.  So every month I'll have a new block to make and at the end of the year I'll have a new quilt.

I've got the the last block for the Tile Quilt done...

Now I need to decide what color to make the stripes...this is where you can help out.  These are the 3 fabrics I picked for the stripes....

I could use some help picking out which one to use....any ideas?  Just leave a comment or send me an E-mail is on my side bar.  Just click on my profile info and my E-mail is listed there.  I've also been working on my Frogs....this started out as a wall hanging, but I love how it's looking, so it's going to be a quilt.

The Sunbonnet Sue is going to get done this week...hoping I can keep Bob off the quilt so I can sandwich!

So my list for next week is....

January 12th through January 18th

1. Sandwich, tie and bind Sunbonnet Sue.

2. Cut stripes for Tile blocks.

3.  Work on more of the Frog blocks.

Hop you all.....
