COOK OUT

Have you ever had a Hobo Dinner?  What is it?  When my son was in Cub Scouts he learned to make this over a campfire.  It's hamburger, potatoes, carrots and butter.  All wrapped up in tin foil.  It is Yummy!!

HEAT WAVE

We are having a heat wave here.  Yesterday it was 98 degrees.  Today is a little cooler, the sun is hidden behind clouds.  I've added a Weather Bug gadget to my sidebar.  You can see the temp at my town.  Hot, Hot, Hot!!!

FAMILY

This past week I had a houseful of company.  My sister from up north came for a visit.  She was here for 4 days.  Some of the family came to visit too.

Megan, Patty and Tina

Megan has twin boys, Hunter and Hayden.  They are 4 months younger than Bella and Luke.  Noah is her first born, he's 8.

So it was pretty crowded around here for a few days.  But it was a happy crowd.

PROJECT 366 REWIND [WEEK #25]

Luke playing in the sand pile.  He finally stood in the sand.  This is also my favorite picture for June.

Luke coloring and drawing.  He loves to color.

This little guy is looking for rain, but he's out of luck.  It hasn't rained for about 6 weeks.  NOTE:  We finally got about an inch of rain.

The wild Pokeweed is getting taller.

These characters were sitting around waiting for their turn at the food scraps.

The Yellow Stargazer Lillie's in full bloom.

This little guy is high up in the tree keeping an eye on Bubber, our Miniature Dachshund.

Glazed - honey bun, yummy
Marble - well make that plural, marbles in a jar.
What to look for next week.
1. Sunset

PROJECT 366 REWIND [WEEK #24]

An abandoned riding mower frame.  The weeds have claimed it.

Our son enjoying the sun, along with Bubber.
 Half of a Robin's egg.

Part of a flower bed.  Lots growing there.  Lilies, Grape Hyacinths, Wild Raspberry, and even a Peach Tree.  Along with an assortment of weeds.

Bella playing with her cash register.

At Facebook playing games.  Those darn things are very addictive.

Have been working on my Bee Quilt.  Got one block quilted.

This little guy went scampering across the yard.  He was headed toward a tree.

SCAVENGER HUT SUNDAY

Ashley over at Ramblings and Photos is the host for Scavenger Hunt Sunday.  Head over and check out everyone's interpretation of this week's list.

Meet Me At The Corner - this is the corner of our block with a stop sign.  You would be surprised at how many people run this.
Mother Nature Meets Technology - this one baffled me.  Couldn't come up with a picture for this.

One Step At A Time - we recently introduced the twins to sand.  They didn't like it at all.  Luke will scoop it up with his shovel, but he stands at the outside edge so he doesn't have to stand on the sand.  But he's recently gotten a little closer to the edge of the sand pile.  So he's taking one step at a time to get closer to standing in the sand.
What's Wrong With This Picture - everything here is bird related except for one.  Can you figure out which one doesn't belong?
Standing Tall - Luke is standing in the flower bed, which gives him a little more height.  He's trying to look over the bush's to see what the neighbors are doing.
What to look for next week.

  1. Warped
  2. Concentric Circles
  3. Gear
  4. Glazed
  5. Marble

PROJECT 52

This is going on over at Kent Weakley's place.  I'm posting one photo a day until I'm all caught up.

Week 3 - I Dreamed A Dream
Who would think to see a Dandelion blooming in December.

BEE QUILT

I've been working on my Bee Quilt.  I made this quilt several years ago.  It is all hand applique work.  It took me a while to find the trim fabric around the bee hive block.  Once I found it, it was quickly put together.  But it has been lingering in the quilt frame waiting patiently for me to work on it.  Theme-A-Licious has given me the incentive to work on it.  I've finished one block and started on the one next to it.  It's going kind of slow.  The twins keep us busy and the weather has turned hot again.  So can't work on it a lot.  Plus my fingers get pricked by all that quilting.  So they get soar after a while and I have to quit for a couple days.  Anyway here is what I've gotten done so far.

PROJECT 366 REWIND [WEEK #23]

One of the barn cats.  They come up to the house to eat the leftovers we throw out.  Plus they are wild, you can't get close to them, they take off.

This little Tree Frog is lost.  Sometimes they come down out of the trees.

Luke playing and all the sun shining on him.

Bella giving you her "Don't Bother Me, I'm Busy" look.

This little Oak Tree came up by itself.  I'm sure the birds or squirrels contributed it.

Bella in the toy box, why I don't know.

The family pet, Bubber.  He is a Miniature Dachshund.  He's 14 years old and has no teeth left in his mouth.  That's why his tongue hangs out.
