[ IN THE PICTURE ]

Over at Urban Muser it's a linky party. For what? In The Picture is for sharing pictures of yourself.

*This is a self-portrait project, which means all photos must contain some part of you. Show as much or as little of yourself as you want, but give us something, even if it's only your feet.

*It should go without saying, but all photos must be taken by you and only you! Arms length, reflections, tripods, self-timers, remote controls...heck, even prop your camera up on a pile of books. I've tried it all.

I've decided to do one picture a month. This is my February picture. There was also an optional theme this month, "write on".

You may have to click on the picture to get a bigger view. You'll be able to see the words better.

PROJECT 52 - WEEK #8

The river that runs through out town. It's called the Mississinewa River. The Mississinewa River is a tributary of the Wabash River in eastern Indiana and a small portion of western Ohio in the United States. It is 120 miles (190 km) long. Via the Wabash and Ohio rivers, it is part of the Mississippi River watershed. And it is as close as I'll get to the ocean, being in the land locked mid-west.

SITTING IN THE.........................

Bella and Luke like sitting in lots of things. I've caught them with pictures doing this. So thought I would share.

Bella sitting in the basket that we keep the toys in. She dumped out all the toys and then had a seat.

With them being twins, I have to give the other one, Luke his do too. He also likes to sit in things. The frying pan seemed like a perfect place to have a seat.

Don't forget to head over to Darcy's place to check out all the great pictures everyone is sharing.

PROJECT 52 - WEEK #7

Got out of the house last week and got some pictures. The weather was really nice, but cloudy. Now it's back to cold again this week. The weather has been like a yo-yo this winter. One week warm the next cold.

The full moon.

These railroad tracks look a little lonely. They aren't used much.

The female deer at our little zoo is being inspected by the lone buck. I suspect we will have some new babies in the spring.

What is it? It's a dirt mover. The dirt goes through several buckets and gets all broken up so you can take it home.

A view of the river from the walkway, which was a scary thing for me. I have an awful fear of heights.

My hubby's reflection while getting gas.

The cement floor in the laundry room. The twins like feeling this for some reason.

SCAVENGER HUNT SUNDAY

Ashley over at Ramblings and Photos is the host for Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Hop over and see what everyone is sharing.

Love - this was a hard one. But Luke gave me a picture. He *loves* to play with the pans, but sitting in them.

Duplicated - having twins you have to have two of everything. Toys, clothes, food, and of course car seats. And why are they sitting in the front room? The straps need adjusting as Bella and Luke are growing like weeds.

Trend - wasn't too sure what to do with this one. So I went to Google. What better way to find out about *trends* than reading a book. Amazon.com has one you can read about trends. The book is Futurecast by George Barna.

Paper - some of my favorite *paper* is when I'm working on a scrapbook page. This is a page I done of the twins. I call it Life is a Journey.

Plastic - lots of *plastic* here. Measuring cups, spices, cooking oil and pancake syrup are all plastic containers.

Next week's list:

1. Crossed
2. A Glimpse
3. Handwritten
4. Bliss
5. Gray

PROJECT 52 - WEEK #7

The railroad tracks near our house. There aren't many trains on these tracks. But you can hear the train when it does come by. It looks and sounds so lonesome.

THIS OR THAT THURSDAY

I've got a few pictures of the twins doing silly things. They do that a lot, silly things.

Bella sitting in a basket, a little basket. It's used to put their toys in.

Luke standing in the way. I was trying to take a picture of my crochet bag I made. But he decided to stand on it.

This isn't a silly picture, but I like it. They are both sitting and eating some broccoli.

A BALL AND A BAG

I've been working on a crochet bag. I got the pattern over at Lucy's place, Attic 24. She's an awesome crocheter and has some great tutorials at her place. I've always wanted to make a crocheted bag, but never tried it. Lucy has a tutorial for a crochet bag and so I jumped in. Her tutorials are listed on the left on her side bar. If you've never been to Lucy's place, you should hop over and check out her hooky stuff. As for the crochet bag...........drum roll please.

It's all done! It took me about 2 weeks of working on it when I had the time. But I love it. I can get everything in there that I'm working on. At the moment it has all the "stuff" I need to work on my Granny Got Color blanket. I've got the first row done, want to see.........

I also got a ball done. I made this for Bella. She's always trying to steal my balls of yarn, so thought I'd make her a ball, did it work, well no of course not. She's a pretty smart little girl. She knows the difference. But she likes her ball.

Well that's it for me.

PROJECT 366 REWIND - WK. #6

I totally spaced it off and forgot to post my Project 366 Rewind yesterday. So here are my pictures from the week.

My shiny mixing bowls. Love them, my son got them for me for Christmas a few years ago. The glass ones came from a rummage sale.

Geese, they are in the standing water on the field out back. We had lots of rain and snow and made a lake. The geese decided to move in.

The view of the library entrance looking up as you go in the door.

A pinkish sunset, a very rare occasion here as the sun has been missing.

Luke throwing pillows. He has a ball throwing pillows at me.

The squirrel sitting by the tree eating. Took this through the back door window, which is plexiglass, which gives it the hazy look.

Bella and Luke sitting quietly playing together, very rare occasion, and allows everyone a little time to relax. What better way to relax after a weary morning.

THREE

I've combined two scrapbook challenges to do this one. Over at Scrapbookers Anonymous the challenge is to stitch something and use 3 hearts. Sketches in Thyme has a sketch I used.

This is my version:

Three - I stitched the rick rack on and there are three hearts. This is a picture of my three loves, passions, obsessions. Crocheting, Reading and Scrapbooking. I'm not really happy with this LO, it needs something, but not quite sure what. I'll have to think on this one for awhile. [To get a closer look, just click on the picture.]

SCAVENGER HUNT SUNDAY

Ashley over at Ramblings and Photos is the host for Scavenger Hunt Sunday. Hop over and see all the pictures everyone is sharing.

The rules are simple:

1. Anyone can participate.
2. You're encouraged to take five new photos this week for the challenge. Creativity is also encouraged!
3. If you get stumped, you may use one photo from your archive (although I'm not too strict about it - I do my best to take fresh shots).
4. Link up here on Sunday (or Tuesday at the latest) - you can use the button above.
5. Leave comments for at least five entries around yours (we have so many new participants each week, this is the only way I know to be inclusive).
Have fun!

Here's what I took:

Facial Feature - me, kind of.

Shadow - the trash can if making a shadow on the wall. You may ask why the trash can is sitting on the cabinet. I put it there so the twins won't get into it.

Spicy - all our spices on the cabinet.

Gold - my hubby bought this clock at a rummage sale last year. It's pretty with all it's wood and gold trim.

Fabric - The quilt I am working on.

Next weeks list

1. Love (Jenny Rain's suggestion)
2. Duplicated (Jenny Rain's suggestion)
3. Trend or Trending (Jenny Rain's suggestion: you might go to Twitter to identify topics that are trending and take a photo that symbolizes that trend)
4. Paper (Honey Mommy's suggestion)
5. Plastic (Honey Mommy's suggestion)
