Curtain - Agatha Christie
(Description - Inside Cove)
Poirot returns to Styles Court to catch a psychopathic killer. He has already claimed five victims - the "perfect criminal" whose technique is so ingenious that in each case, not only did he himself remain untouched by suspicion, but an innocent person stood trial for the murder.
Poirot knows that "X" plans to strike again. But who will be the victim? And who has been marked for the role of "murderer"?
MY THOUGHTS: This was a very mysterious book. I had a little trouble keeping up with the characters. There were a lot of them and I kept confusing who was who. But the plot of story was very clear. Poirot was after a murderer. He was in failing health and asked his old fried Arthur Hastings to help him. With all the twits and turns the killer is finally caught, but with a very surprising ending! Just who was the killer and who killed him?? You will have to read the book to find out.
This is for the catagory of an Author you Have Read Before. Book 4 of 6.

ABANDONMENT.....
I've tried for years to get something besides weeds and grass to grow in this flower bed. I've tried Chrysanthemum, Tulips, Petunia, and Marigolds. None of them survived. So I'm just going to let the weeds and grass have it. And they don't do all that well either.

WENDESDAY......
Bella and Luke decided to play dress up. Bella picked up a bicycle chain her dad was working on and put it around her neck and she found a belt to put on. While Luke found a tie. His mom tied it and put it on him. They looked kind of comical together.

I've been working on my Crazy Quilt. I've pulled out my ribbon, rick rack, buttons and some charms. Also some lace. I've also been doing some embroidery work on some of the blocks. I put some buttons on the wheels of the bicycle.
This one I outlined the dragonfly and used some charms I had.
This one has some lace and embroidery.
This one has rick rack and buttons.
This one has some crochet lace.
I've also started another Ripple Afghan. It's coming along nicely and I really like the color combo I've used.

NEEDLEWORK TUESDAY.......
Oooops it's Wednesday. Heather over at Books and Quilts is the host for Needlework Tuesday. Hop over and check out her place. What have you been working on??
I've been working on my Crazy Quilt. Keep in mind I have no idea what I'm doing with this quilt. I know the basics, The block is done on a foundation and the fabric is at odd angles. But other than that I'm in the dark. As for the embroidery work.....that sucks. I'm not really good at embroider. I know a few basic stitches. I've been using lots of ribbon, rick rack, lace and buttons to embellish the blocks
These blocks haven't had any embellishment done to them.
These blocks have some embellishment. Haven't got any plan as to how I'm going to lay this out. Anyone got any ideas or suggestions? I could really use some help on this one.

MY THOUGHTS
This is a classic Christie mystery with Hercule Poirot. Stuck on a train in the middle of no where and a murderer still on board the train, Poirot has to do his thing to solve the crime. Which Christie sets up and adds lots of characters and mystery. One of my all time favorite Christie books. This books is also published under the title of Murder in the Calais Coach. This is also my 3rd book of 6 for this reading challenge.

NEEDLEWORK TUESDAY.....
Heather over at Books and Quilts is the host for Needlework Tuesday. Working on something....want to share or just visit....hop over to Heather's and find out the info.
As for me, in a previous post I updated the info on my Under the Sea quilt. Also am working on a Teapot and Cup quilt. You can check it out here.
Haven't worked on my Crochet Along over at Red Heart. I've run out of yarn and need to make a trip to Wal Mart. I hate making the trip to town. But I'll get there eventually. I've encounter a problem with a couple of the blocks. The Cross Stitch Block and the Front Post Treble Block is not working out for me. So I've decided to go with the ones I can do. That would be the Popcorn Square and Back Loops Square. So I'll be using these two to replace the ones I can't seem to get.
I've also found my next quilt. I'll be making some adjustments to the original to suit my own tastes. I first saw this quilt at Facebook...and of course I followed all the link's to find it. It is from a book called Ladybug & Friends, I got my book from Amazon.com. It comes from Quilted Frog, you should check out their site. Lots of great stuff over there.
Well that's it for now, don't forget to head over to Heather's place.

APRIL 350 BLOCKS REPORT....
Shelly over at Prairie Moon Quilts is the host for the 350 Blocks Project. Hop over and check out her place.
As for me, I've been working on 2 quilts. Under The Sea, which is big enough to cover my bed. Just needs a border to make it hang down on the sides.
The other quilt I'm working on is a Teapot and Cup Quilt. I'm still appliqueing the cups, I think I've got enough Teapots. Still trying to decide if I'm going to put a border on this one. I haven't actually laid it out yet, so we'll see what happens when I do.
As for my count for April........ta da........38 blocks.....I've never kept track of how many blocks I make, so this is a new thing for me. I'm really amazed at how many I got done. That puts my count for the year so far at 60. And I've already got my next quilt picked out. I'll be posting about that tomorrow......so come back and find out what it will be.
