Today is the last day of OPAM project for May is the Teapot Quilt.  It is almost will be finished I'll make my deadline.  This quilt is also my WOOFA project.

I've also added some yellow to the Red Work quilt....I'm not really happy with this color as an alternate block....Mr. Seam Ripper is coming out of the drawer today!  Back to the drawing board...have any ideas as to what color to use for alternate blocks....while making my RSC basket block, I got the idea to put baskets between the red work blocks.  Now to figure out what color to make the blocks.

I've got my Purple RSC basket block done.

Well, I guess that's it for today...hope you all have an AWESOME...

I've been working on my Red Work blocks...I have 8 61/2" squares...I was puzzled as what to do with them....8 blocks don't make a very big quilt.  So I put different colored borders around each block.  Now what to do with them is the next question.  I know I want to add a colored block between them...haven't decided what color to use...any suggestions....maybe a light yellow or orange....ummm...I'll have to lay it out and see what happens....

The new color for RSC is's going to be
Purple...I'll have to drag out my Purple and make a basket.

So what have you been doing with scraps??  Lots of goodies

I can't believe it's the last Friday of May already...where did the month go?  Isn't it funny how one month goes by really fast and some seem to drag on.

For today I'm posting on what I've got done and a couple updates.  I got my National Day Calendar block done for May...the second week of May is Reading is Fun.  So I've got a book worm sitting on...a pile of books.  Isn't he cute.

I got all the Red Work Baskets framed...I put different colors around each one.  Now what to do with them next??  There are 8 this will be a little quilt.  I know I'm going to put a filler block between each one.  I've got an idea what I want to do with this....but it's still jumping around in my mind.

Any one doing the Fairy Tail Blog Hop????  Here's a sneak peak of what I'm working on.

Well that's it for today.  What are you working on today?

Boy, this week went fast.  It's Tuesday already....well, you know what that's To-Do Tuesday.  Hosted over at Chris Knits.  Head over and check it out.  There's lots of folks joining in, you might find your next quilt plans there!

My list from last week.

1. Finish the Clams

2. Make more string blocks.

3. Cut the Gingham fabric.👎

4. Dig out UFO's and see which quilt needs worked on next.

1. The Clams are all sewed down.  Now I'm embroidering the lines on the Clams and Mussels.

2. I've been making String blocks..I've got about 10 of them done.

3. I haven't cut the Ginghan fabric yet.  Not sure what I'm going to use this for.

4.  I'll start putting the Crazy Quilt I did for RSC last year together.  I have 5 for each month...which is 60 blocks...this should make a nice sized lap quilt.  They are 8 1/2" blocks.  So maybe 5 across will work...I'll have to figure that one out.  Ugh.....MATH problem!!

Next Weeks list...

1.Continue on the Salt and Sand.

2. Work on Daisy Embroidery

3. Start assembling the Crazy Quilt blocks

4.  Cut fabric for Red Work Quilt.

I'm working on an embroidery project, Mary Corbet over at Needle ' N Thread has a series on how to embroider Daisies.  I'm just starting the 2nd step and I've run into a rough spot.  One of the daisies is using the Woven Picot stitch.  I've never done this stitch I guess I better practice before I stitch.  Here's where I'm at now. To see the picture better, just click on it.

The Teapot Quilt is all tied, now on to the binding.

And the Tile Quilt is in my hoop, ready to be tied.

I've also made a few more String blocks...

That's it for today...what are working on?

is a Blog Hop.  And I totally forgot to post here is my Born to be Wild project.  When I go shopping for fabric, I tend to be drawn to wild color combos.  So I'm using them in this project...with a few animal prints I have.

I'm making a string quilt for my bed, which is a twin size.  The blocks are 6 1/2".  I have about 10 or 12 of them done.  So I've got a lot more to make.  Here's few I've got done.

Yesterday I went to get my Covid shot.  Ready for a road trip????

We are headed to Ball State University...that's in Muncie,'s about a 30 minute drive on I-69 South.

Exit to Muncie...

Going to get my shot, these great gals gave me my shot.

While there, you have a mask...once you get your shot, they give you a sticker that the date of your shot.

When you get your shot they give you a little card to carry with you to prove you had the shot.

I had the Johnson & Johnson shot, which consist of one shot.

My shot...

It stung a little, and no reactions at all.  Now it's time to head home...

Have a great day!!!

Hi...thanks for stopping by.  Today I go for my Covid shot.  I'm 69 years old and I'll never live to see another Pandemic, so I'll be taking lots of pictures...I'll post all about it tomorrow.

On to happier STUFF.   I got the last Clam done on the Salt and Sand Quilt.  Started embroidering the lines on the Mussels, the Clams will have some too.

I hit a dead stop on my Red Work blocks.  The blocks are only 6 1/2 inches and I only have 8 of them.  I want to make this into a Lap Quilt.....So I had to come up with a different way of putting them together.  I put borders on them and I'll be adding a RED block between them.  I've had these Red Work blocks for years, so getting them done is a GREAT thing.  This is one block....they all have different colors for the borders.

I also got some crocheting done on my Ripple Afghan.  Where the white yarn is, that's where I was on my last post about this Afghan.

Well, that's it for today...I'm linking to:

 Hi everyone,

It's been a couple weeks since I posted my To-Do Tuesday list.  So I'll go on my last list from 2 weeks ago.

April 27th through May 3rd

1. Tie the Teapot Quilt/Progressing

2. Sandwich the Tile Quilt

3. Cut binding for Teapot Quilt

4. Sew more Clams to Salt and Sand.

Well, I got 3 things done from this list and 1 is progressing.   The Teapot Quilt needs a few more tied spots, then the binding starts.

And the Tile Quilt is sandwiched so it's next into the hoop to be tied.

Over the last 2 weeks I've got 1 more filmsey sandwiched.  And binding cut for them. It hasn't got a name yet...haven't decided what to call it.  It's kind of a Improv quilt.  Starting at the center, basket of hearts, marble fabric w/yo yo, Lincoln logs, stars and stripes fabric, and fish.  So there's lots of different things on this quilt.  Got any suggestions for a name??  Let me know what you think.

To-do list for May 18 through May 25th

1. Finish the Clams

2. Make more string blocks.

3. Cut the Gingham fabric.

4. Dig out UFO's and see which quilt needs worked on next.

Hope you all....

At this time in my world....I have 4 projects I'm working on.  Plus 3 Quilts to Tie and Bind.  So I don't really need to start something new....but...I got my Red Gingham fabric a couple of days ago...and I'm dying to start cutting it into blocks to work on my Kitchen Quilt.  BUT...that will have to wait.!

For the last 3 or 4 days I've been working on my Salt and Sand Quilt.  I've got the last of the Clams pinned down and have started appliqueing them on.

I've got a nice little pile of Strip Blocks...but I'm going to have to have lots more to make a quilt out of this.  I'm making this one for me...for my bed.   These blocks are also for my Born to be Wild Quilt.  Are you doing the Blog Hop??  Need info on this?  Just hop HERE to get the info.

I've also started another Tile Quilt...only it's a Tiny Tile Quilt.  I'm using 3 1/2 inch muslin squares for the base.

Well, that's it for today...what are are stitching on today?  I'm linking up with:

I was digging around in my UFO box of quilt tops.  I found a Quilt I had started years ago.  Can't remember what I was doing with this I'm calling it an Improv Quilt.  There's really no rhyme or reason to this quilt...well, you'll see....

see what I have a basket with hearts...marbles fabric w/yoyos..Lincoln Logs, Stars and Stripes, Fish and the final border of blue fern.  Anyhow, I got this sandwiched along with...

The Tile Quilt

So now I've got 3 quilt to tie and bind.

I took a stroll around the yard yesterday...My Iris are blooming...

We also added some Lupines

and Petunia's to the front garden.  The Petunia's look kine of lonely, but they will spread out over the summer and fill the pot.

The Calla Lille's we planted last year are dong wonderful.

Well, that's it for today...what are you working on today?  I'm linking up with...
