READY TO GO......

 I have 4 quilts that are almost ready to be finished.  They are in different stages right now.  I really like that I've got these quilts so close to completion.

1. Alexis's quilt top is done...just needs sandwiched, tied and binding added.

2. National Day Calendar Quilt is tied, it needs binding.

3. Polar Bears is in the hoop waiting to be tied.

4. The Christmas Sampler needs 8 more blocks and then I can start sewing it together.

If you ever wonder what I do while quilting....I watch t.v. on my computer.  I subscribe to several streaming services.  At the moment I'm watching Law and Order on Peacock.  I'm on season 18. 

When I'm not watching T.V., I read, at the moment I'm reading James Patterson's Women's Murder Club.  James Patterson is one of my favorite authors.  I've read his Alex Cross series, To date, there are 29 books in the regular Alex Cross books series, along with two novellas.  I haven't read the Novellas.  My library hasn't got them, if I want to read them, I'll have to buy them.  If you want to check out all about this series go......HERE.

I LIKE THURSDAY BECAUSE......

 I get to share all my likes with you.  Lets start off with shirts....yea I said shirts.  I usually have a flannel shirt on most of the time.  It takes the chill off, but doesn't make me hot.  I finally get to break out my Flannel Shirt I got for Christmas last year.  It's flannel, but it's heavier than regular flannel.  It's a fleece fabric, but looks like flannel.  Excuse the mess...we are in the process of re-paneling the walls.  This is me in my heavy flannel shirt.  It's really warm and cozy!

Alexis's quilt is coming along.  I've got 7 rows done...one more to go.

I pulled out my projects box to see what I can work on next....I haven't worked on my Christmas Sampler for a while.  So I'll work on that for a while. 

I'm looking forward to going to Book Club tonight.  Haven't finished the book...The Paper Palace by Miranda Cowley Heller.  but I've got a good start on it.  

What have I been watching on T.V.  I've started re-watching CSI..New York.  Some of them I remember and some I don't.  I really need to catch up on my t.v. shows on CBS.  I use a streaming  channel, Paramount, to watch those.  As for everything else going on around here....same as always.  The twins are growing...

Bella is almost as tall as me.  

 And Luke is built like his grandpa and dad....tall with broad shoulders.  

They are both Autistic, but you wouldn't know that unless someone told you.  They are just like every other 11 year old child.  They are in 5th grade this year and doing great.  I'm very proud of both of them.  Well, that's it for now....have a wonderful.

TIME FOR MY LIKES......

 Lee Anna over at Not Afraid of Color, hosts I Like Thursday.  Head over and check out what everyone is working on.  

Since I took inventory of my To-Do Box....and made a list of projects...you can see that list HERE.  I've decided to work on 1 project a week.  Maybe I'll make some progress if I stick to one.  Anyway, that's the plan.  This week I've been working on the Candy Hearts.  I've got another row on.

I need one more row on the right side, and another row on the bottom.  I've got my hearts all cut and they are ready to be sewed down.  Then comes the embroidery.  I'm hoping I get this to the filmsy stage by next week.  

I finished up the CSI series, the one in Vegas.  Now I've moved on to CSI Miami.  

As for reading....I'm about half way through the book I've been reading for a month.  I seem to have a book lag.  Can't seem to get interested enough to finish this book.

So that is what my week has been. T.V. and working on Candy Hearts.  I am hoping for a better week next week.  I'm linking up with:

ORANGE......

 I've been working on my Orange Quilt for a couple weeks.  It is finally a filmsy....

I've never made an orange quilt before.  So this one is special to me.  I really like how this came out.  Now I need to pull out the cutting table and get it sandwiched.  I will be sandwiching 2 quilts.  I've also got my Salt and Sand quilt finished, so it needs sandwiched too.

 I really like the way this one came out.  I love all the different colors in this quilt.  It was all made from my scraps, The borders for the mussels, fish and clams got new fabric...a sand kind of fabric.  That's it for today.  Hope you all .....

THIS AND THAT.....

 I've started working on my It's A Guy Thing quilt.  I have a tub full of odds and ends blocks.  A while back I used to trade quilt blocks...we had to make so many and send them to a person on our list.  Wellll...I've got lots of those.  I did some out every once in a while and put them together.  This is what I'm going to make my It's A Guy Thing quilt from.  How appropriate for Guys...Bow Ties. ...I also have a stack of little 4 patches.  I'm going to add these to the Bow Tie blocks...and see what kind of design I can come up with.  Since I don't really have that many, this will probably turn into a wall hanging.  Any suggestions on how to arrange these blocks would be appropriated.

I'm also still working on the Salt and Sand quilt.  Putting the lines on 21 Clams is a lot of embroidery.  I'll get there, it will just take a little time.

I've been watching The Good Doctor on Hulu...waiting for the 5th season to come out.  This is when I work on my quilts...while watching t.v. in the evening.

My Book Club at the library is back on.  I missed the meeting...so I went to the library last week and picked up my Book Club book.  This month we are reading...The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George.

THURSDAY ALREADY....WHERE DID......

 last week go...it seems time moves faster than me, lol...Although I've been having trouble getting around this week, the weather affects my arthritis, I have been working on several quilts.

I've started the embroidery of the lines on the clams on the Salt and Sand quilt.

I pulled the RSC 2021 blocks out of the UFO box....they are now in my To-do box.

I also put some fabric for the It's a Guy Thing Blog Hop.  I think I'm going to make 9 patches for this quilt.  I haven't made one for years.  Or maybe start a postage stamp quilt.  I've always wanted to make one of these, but never have.

And I've been working on my String Quilt...got several more blocks finished.  

I've got a nice selection of fabric bagged up into 1" and 2" strips, so it should keep me busy for awhile.

ANOTHER THURSDAY......

 The days seem to fly by...I get busy doing this and that chores around the house.  Then I sit down for my evening T.V. shows.  At the moment I'm  watching season 8 of Chicago Fire on Peacock. 

I've spent the last few days working on my Fairy Tale Quilt...this is for the Fairy Tale Blog Hop.  Are you joining in?  My day to post is Monday, June 21st.  So that's what I've been concentrating on, getting a few blocks done.  This isn't going to be a couple weeks or a couple months finish.  I'll be working on this for awhile.

HOOPED AND TIED......

 I got the Tile Quilt tied...I'll start the binding tonight....while watching Chicago Fire on Peacock.   

I put the Improv Quilt in the hoop, it's ready to be tied. The meaning of a Improv Quilt found at Goggle.  You can see more Improv Quilt HERE.

Worked a little on the Castle for my Fairy Tale Quilt.  Not sure about this combination of colors...the light pink isn't showing up very well.  May make a new block and make the castle blue...I'll be pondering on this one.

My Roses are in full bloom right now...they are so pretty against the white and red of the front porch.  Had to dust them for bugs...they like the leaves.  Last year they almost ate every leaf off the bush .  Didn't catch them in time to stop them.

ONCE IN A LIFE TIME....

 Hi...thanks for stopping by.  Today I go for my Covid shot.  I'm 69 years old and I'll never live to see another Pandemic, so I'll be taking lots of pictures...I'll post all about it tomorrow.

On to happier STUFF.   I got the last Clam done on the Salt and Sand Quilt.  Started embroidering the lines on the Mussels, the Clams will have some too.

I hit a dead stop on my Red Work blocks.  The blocks are only 6 1/2 inches and I only have 8 of them.  I want to make this into a Lap Quilt.....So I had to come up with a different way of putting them together.  I put borders on them and I'll be adding a RED block between them.  I've had these Red Work blocks for years, so getting them done is a GREAT thing.  This is one block....they all have different colors for the borders.

I also got some crocheting done on my Ripple Afghan.  Where the white yarn is, that's where I was on my last post about this Afghan.

A LITTLE SURPRISE...

 I was digging around in my UFO box of quilt tops.  I found a Quilt I had started years ago.  Can't remember what I was doing with this quilt....so I'm calling it an Improv Quilt.  There's really no rhyme or reason to this quilt...well, you'll see....

see what I mean...you have a basket with hearts...marbles fabric w/yoyos..Lincoln Logs, Stars and Stripes, Fish and the final border of blue fern.  Anyhow, I got this sandwiched along with...

The Tile Quilt

So now I've got 3 quilt to tie and bind.  

I took a stroll around the yard yesterday...My Iris are blooming...

We also added some Lupines

 and Petunia's to the front garden.  The Petunia's look kine of lonely, but they will spread out over the summer and fill the pot.

The Calla Lille's we planted last year are dong wonderful.
