and running out of time.  I've been working on my String Quilt, it's for my It's A Guy Thing Blog Hop...being hosted over at  Just Let Me Quilt....are you joining?  I'm making this for my bed.  I've got enough for 2 rows.  So I need to get to it.  There are 2 rows here, but I couldn't get all the picture on the camera.

I've also started putting my RSC 2020 blocks together.  I have 60 blocks...I'm doing 10 I'll have 6 rows...that ought to make a pretty sized quilt.  There will be a black border around it.  This is part of the rows...couldn't get it all in the picture.

I've started Alexis's Quilt.  Ever start a quilt not knowing how it will come out??  This is one, I had a bunch of pieces cut out and picked a few of them.  So far I've got a Tea Pot, Tea Cup and some Circle Flowers.  I've got an idea bouncing around in my head....we'll  have to see where this goes.

I do all my quilting while I watch T.V. on my computer.  I subscribe to several streaming I've always got something to watch.  At the moment I'm watching ER on Hulu.

I've started a new book for my book club.  The Little Paris Book Shop by Nina George.  I'm really enjoying this book.

And of course you have he GUARD DOGS on duty!😎

3.  Work on the Band Sampler,

4.  Start putting RSC 2020 blocks together.πŸ‘Ž

2. I decided not to put a border on the Salt and Sand...I'll let the binding be the edging. πŸ˜…

3.  I did work on my Band Sampler this week.  I'm using this as a Journal....with some new stitches that I've gotten from Sharon over at Pintangle...she has a Stitch Dictionary and when I get stuck on what to do next I head over there.

 4.  I didn't get anything done with the RSC blocks...they are still sitting in my To-Do Box...waiting.  I haven't decided how I want this quilt to go together.  By color, or just stagger them.  I have 5 of each that makes 60 blocks.  Got any ideas!!

1. Make a decision on how to put the RSC blocks together!

2.   Do some more embroidery on the Band Sampler.

I'm still stitching on the Clams...I started with 21 Clams...I now have 10 left to do.  Then do something with the Fish eyes...Beads or Buttons...not sure yet.  The the last border goes on.  And I'll have a filmsy!

I've also had a request for a son's girlfriend's daughter has asked for a quilt.  I had her write down what she likes and fabric colors.  I pulled some applique pieces that I have cut and this is what I've come up with....

It's an odd assortment of pieces.  And I've got some pretty light green fabric and some white.  So I've got all my components all planned out.  Just need to cut the green and white fabrics into 10 1/2" squares  and start sewing.

I've started working on my It's A Guy Thing quilt.  I have a tub full of odds and ends blocks.  A while back I used to trade quilt blocks...we had to make so many and send them to a person on our list.  Wellll...I've got lots of those.  I did some out every once in a while and put them together.  This is what I'm going to make my It's A Guy Thing quilt from.  How appropriate for Guys...Bow Ties. ...I also have a stack of little 4 patches.  I'm going to add these to the Bow Tie blocks...and see what kind of design I can come up with.  Since I don't really have that many, this will probably turn into a wall hanging.  Any suggestions on how to arrange these blocks would be appropriated.

I'm also still working on the Salt and Sand quilt.  Putting the lines on 21 Clams is a lot of embroidery.  I'll get there, it will just take a little time.

I've been watching The Good Doctor on Hulu...waiting for the 5th season to come out.  This is when I work on my quilts...while watching t.v. in the evening.

My Book Club at the library is back on.  I missed the I went to the library last week and picked up my Book Club book.  This month we are reading...The Little Paris Bookshop by Nina George.

I finally got the Improv Quilt done.  I'm so glad I dug this little top out of the UFO box...I really like this quilt.  I didn't really want to cut more binding...I have lots of odds and ends of binding, so I like to use those up before cutting more.  This quilt fit the extra pieces of binding I had.

This quilt is also for OMG and PHD 2021

To-Do Tuesday is hosted by Chris over at Chris Knits.  Hop over and check out what everyone's list is for this week.

June 29th through July 5th

1. Do more embroidery on the Clams.

2. Work on my, not sure what this on the link and you'll find a brief history on this.  Band Sampler.πŸ‘Ž

3.  Start sewing the RSC 2021 blocks together.πŸ‘Ž

1. We have been having a heat wave the last couple of weeks.  High 80's -9o's...with very high humidity.  So working on a quilt is kind of hard to do.  The Salt and Sand quilt hasn't been sandwiched I've been working on the Clams.

2. The Band Sampler has been sorely neglected.  I really need to work on this!  This is as far as I've gotten.  I've got lots of ideas to do...just haven't done them.  Need some ideas on how to do a Band Sampler and stitches to use?  Head over to Sharon's place, Pintangle.  She has a post on her Band Sampler and she has a Stitch Dictionary for embroidery stitches.

3. I've got the RSC 2020 out of the UFO box and into the T0-Do Box.  Just haven't started putting them together yet.  This is a small pile of blocks...there are 6o of them don...just haven't laid them out they are still waiting their turn to be worked on.

July 6th through July 12th

My list for next week will be the same as last week...hoping I can get some progress on these 3 items.

1. Do more embroidery on the Clams.

2. Work on the Band Sampler.

3.  Start putting the RSC 2020 blocks together.

Sunday, July 4, 2021

I have been working on the Improv Quilt all week ...trying to get the binding done.  It's almost done, I should finish it tonight...if I don't get sidetracked.  This is my Slow Sunday Stitching project.  It will be finished tonight!!  This is also for OMG and PHD 2021.

I've also been putting a few more stitches into the Clams on my Salt and Sand Quilt.  It's a slow process!  All the components of this quilt was made with scraps.  The only new fabric added is the last border with the clams.  At the moment this is my Oh! Scraps project.

I got another row on my Band Sampler.    I really need to work on this more.  This is for my HSAL.

Hope you all have a safe and happy 4th of July....

is Wonderous Words Wednesday.  What the heck is this?  Just answer 3 questions.

1. What are you currently reading?

Nothing right now.  I seem to have lost my reading mojo.  Haven't read a book for months.  I'm hoping to remedy that soon.

2.  What did you recently finish reading?

Target Alex Cross -James Patterson.  I can read James Patterson books even when my reading mojo is a mess.  He's one of my favorite writers.

A killer elite - six assassins - are on the loose. So is Alex Cross.

A leader has fallen, and Alex Cross joins the procession of mourners from Capitol Hill to the White House. Then a sniper's bullet strikes a target in the heart of DC. Alex Cross' wife, Bree Stone, newly elevated chief of DC detectives, must solve the case or lose her position. The Secret Service and the FBI deploy as well in the race to find the shooter.

Alex is tasked by the new president to lead an investigation unprecedented in scale and scope. But is the sniper's strike only the beginning of a larger attack on the nation?

I've read all the Alex Cross books and really, really like them.  So when this one came to my library I snatched it up.  This one has lots of mystery and intrigue in it.  After the President is assassinated, Alex is called to join a special task force to find out who did this.  While Alex's wife Bree Stone, she's the Chief of the DC Metro Police.  is also on the case.  Alex finally figures out there is more than one shooter out there.  The race is on to find out who and why.  Is it a foreign country trying to take over our country or could it be an inside job???

3.  What do you think you'll read next?

I have not idea.  I have a Book Club book waiting for me at the library, don't know what it is, put I'll be picking that up today.

You can check out my Book Blog over at Just Books!!!

4.  I pulled some fabric for It's A Guy Thing Blog Hop.  I'll be making 9 patches.  Haven't made a 9 patch quilt for I thought this would be a great time to make one.  I'll also be mixing some white into these fabrics.  And I don't know why, but the brown on the lower right corner is showing up as red.

last week seems time moves faster than me, lol...Although I've been having trouble getting around this week, the weather affects my arthritis, I have been working on several quilts.

I've started the embroidery of the lines on the clams on the Salt and Sand quilt.

I pulled the RSC 2021 blocks out of the UFO box....they are now in my To-do box.

I also put some fabric for the It's a Guy Thing Blog Hop.  I think I'm going to make 9 patches for this quilt.  I haven't made one for years.  Or maybe start a postage stamp quilt.  I've always wanted to make one of these, but never have.

And I've been working on my String several more blocks finished.

I've got a nice selection of fabric bagged up into 1" and 2" strips, so it should keep me busy for awhile.
