PURPLE AND PIK.......

is what I've been working on for the last few days.  I got a lot of purple baskets done.  I think I have enough to start putting this quilt together.  Not the whole thing, but a start on it anyway.  I still have a pretty good pile to sew.  For now I'm going with what I've got done.

For Slow Sunday Stitching, I'll be working on my center block for this quilt...this is the basket I'm going to use for my center block.

I still have to decide what I want to put in the basket.  Yarn, fabric, threads, or flowers.  For today I think it's going to be flowers, but who knows...I may change my mind once I start working it this block.

PINK AND PURPLE.....

Last night I worked on my pink and purple baskets....I've got a little stack going here. The top row is pinned and ready to sew.  The bottom row is done.  At the moment I only have4 3 purple baskets done.  So I better get busy sewing and catch up.

I really am anxious to put these together.  But I have one more basket to go...I want a big one in the center.  Then of course I'll have to figure out the math so it will fit.  I'll probably have to get my son to figure this one out.  I'm awful at Math...My son is a whiz at figuring out my math problems.  This is the pattern I want to use.

It will be on 12 1/2" muslin fabric.  My other baskets are on 6 1/2" muslin blocks.  So for now I need lots more baskets done.  So that will be my quest this week.  To see how many I can get done.

13 things I need to get this quilt .....finished.

1. Scissors

2. Threads

3. More purple baskets

4. More Pink Baskets

5. Cut pieces for the middle basket.

6. A math problem to work out

7. Decide what to put in my middle basket

8. Choose thread, fabric, yarn, flowers or something else

9.  Lots of patience

10. More patience.

11. Backing fabric

12. Batting

13. Yarn to Tie the quilt

TO-DO TUESDAY TIME.......

My To-Do Tuesday from last week....

1. Finish binding and label Zoe's Quilt.

2. Mare more Pink and Purple Baskets.

3.  Finish Wk 25  of  TAST and start Wk 27.👎

2 out of 3 isn't bad, for me anyway.   I've been consumed with finishing Zoe's Flag Quilt this week.  It's finally finished.  I put the label on last night and now it's in the washer.  This is also for my UFO Blog Hop.

I did manage to get a couple more pink baskets pinned and ready to sew.  I'll be cutting out the purple ones today.  Plus I have to cut some more 8 1/2' muslin blocks.

Next project is to get the Red Work Baskets tied.  I put it in the hoop last week....well all I can say...it's still there.  I'll be working on the tying this week.  Then I have to decide what color to use for the binding.  I'm thinking about a Light Gray or Red.  I'll have to see if I have enough of those 2 colors to make binding.

My Hand Picked quilt has been sorley neglectd.  So it's going on this list this week.

My list for  July 26th through  August 2nd

1.  Tye Red Work Quilt

2. More Pink and Purple Baskets

3. Work on Hand Picked.

Have a wonderful.....

ZOE'S FLAGS ARE DONE....

This is my Monday Making project this week.  To get the label on and box this quilt up and send it off to Zoe.

Up next is the Red Work Baskets.  It's in the hoop waiting to be tied.

My Nature Notes this week is the Orange Lillies, they are all so pretty.

I also did a few stitches on my embroidery.  I'm working on my TAST stitches.  TAST is located at Sharon's place...Pintangle.  Lots of stitches to learn.  This is where I'm at...the Fern Stitch.  It's taking forever to put all those stitches in.

Have a wonderful......

SUNDAY STITCHING.......

I started a new quilt project...as if I need another one.  I'm working on a Down on the Farm quilt.  I have lots of pages in a coloring book of of farm animals and other farm items.  So I thought I'd make one.  I'm doing some in embroidery and some quilt blocks.  I've got several patterns traced to embroider. The first block in this quilt will be a bunny.

I' sent a list of fabric requirements to Hobby Lobby with my son last week.  I needed some purple...I was down to bits and pieces.  He brought this back.

See the purple on the left...I decided to use this with my Pink Baskets.  So I'm making Purple baskets.  I've got a few all ready done and some pinned.  You can see them in the last picture on the hoop.

Today I'll be working on Zoe's Flag Quilt.  Finish tying it and get the binding started.

But first I have to clean off the hoop...it's a catchall for "stuff" I'm working on.

Linking up with...Slow Sunday Stitching and Oh! Scrap.

Have a wonderful stitching....

DOING LOTS OF APPLIQUE......

I had several 6", 8" and a few 3  1/2" blocks cut...so I've been doing my applique on most of them.  The 6" is being used to make my Pink Baskets.  I got several done and a few pinned to sew.

The 8" is being used for my Color Challenge, National Day Calendar, RSC 2022 Birdhouses.

The color for July for the Color Challenge is Purple.

The National Day Calendar block is Kissing Day.  I've still got to put the words on.

And the color for RSC 2022 challenge this month is purple.  I've got my purple birdhouse done.  The Roof is a very light yellow, it doesn't show up very well.

and the 3 12" blocks I'm using to make Stars.....not sure what I'm going use these for, but I'll figure it out. I'm planning on putting faces on the stars...happy, sad, crying, well you get the idea.

So what have your been working on?  Have a wonderful......

TUESDAY STUFF......

It's Tuesday, so it's time to check and see how my To-Do Tuesday went last week.

My list from last week....

1. Sandwich quilts.✔

2. Lay out Pink Baskets.✔

3, Put quilt room in order.👎

Last Friday I spent the afternoon sandwiching quilt filmsys.  I got 4 of them done.  Zoe's Flag Quilt is in the hoop

and the 1. Red Work & Hearts, 2.Boo Quilt, and 3. Christmas Sampler are waiting their turn to be tied.

I also got the Pink Baskets laid out.  I really like the Green with the Pink.  It's going to take a whole lot more baskets to get this quilt done.  Thankfully I have been stocked up on Pink fabric!  I need to order some purple fabric, I'm down to bits and pieces of that one.

As for the quilt room being back in order...I did it, but it lasted about 1 day.....now it's back to being disorganized again.  Next time I'll take a picture...lol.

I also got another TAST  block done, taking place over at Pintangle  every Tuesday.  Crossed Buttonhole Stitch.  This is for Week 24.  Now I'm only 2  weeks behind.

Now it's time to make my list for next week.

IT'S MONDAY....

so for Monday Making  I'm working on Zoe's Flag quilt...will get the tying done and start on the binding.  Then I can box it up and send it to her.

I started making some little Stars...they are done on 3 1/2"  muslin squares.

I'm thinking about using these with my Hand Picked quilt.

My purple Birdhouse for RSC 2022 is done.  It looks like marroon but it's acutlly a purple color, kind of, that's all the "purple" I had.  Going to have to order some purple fabric.

So that's it for today...have a great...

4 QUILT TOPS......

sandwiched.  Friday I spent the afternoon sandwiching quilt tops.  I got 4 of them done.  First up is Zoe's Flag Quilt.  It's in the hoop being tied.

Next is my Boo Quilt...this poor quilt top has been neglected for 5 years.  It was time to take it out of the box and finish it.

Next one on the list is the Red Work Baskets.  I know everyone said to put the baskets on point, but I didn't have enough baskets to do that.  And besides I didn't actually know how to go about it.  I added some hearts to the mix and this is what I got.

And last on the list is my Christmas Sampler.  I really like the blue border on this.  Makes the whole quilt pop.  Well, the picture doesn't show the blue border very well.  Oh, well...you get the idea.

Now comes the hard work, tying  and binding.  So I'll be working on these 4 quilts for a couple of weeks.  I'll post them here when finished.  They will go into my Quilts Finished  Tab at the top of my blog.

As for today, my Slow Sunday Stitching will be working on tying Zoe's Flags.  And start the binding.

TO-DO TUESDAY.....

 My To-Do Tuesday list from 6/28.....to 7/5

1. Sandwich a couple quilts!!!!!👎

2. Finish putting the Flags together.✔

3.  Start sewing Granny Squares together.👎

4. Lay out Pink Baskets and see what to do.👎

5.Put the quilting room back to normal.👎

I didn't do too good this week on my list.  1 out of 5 is all I managed to do.  I was concentrating on getting Zoe's flags done.  She leaves to go back home on Friday, and I want to get it done so she can take it home.  It is all together, just needs sandwiched, tied and bound.  I'll be working on that the rest of the week.  And speaking of sandwiching, while I have my cutting table out, I'll sandwich a couple more quilt.  I got the border on Zoe's quilt, so it's a filmsy now.

Now I need to shift things around so I can get my cutting table out.

I did get a couple blocks pinned last night.

My list for July 6th through July 11th.

1. Sandwich quilts.

2. Lay out Pink Baskets.

3, Put quilt room in order.

Hope you all have a great....
