WHAT TO-DO TUESDAY.....

 My list from last week....

1.  Get busy and tie the Red Work Quilt.👎

2. Catch up on my TAST stitches.👎

3.  Start cutting fabric for the Snowman Quilt.✔

 The list isn't very good this week....a squirrel

popped into my sewing room last week...and so the Snowman quilt was born.  Here is my first Alphabet Snowman.....A snowman.

The Red Work quilt is still in the hoop.....still waiting!!!!

 I didn't do any TAST stitches last week...now I'm 8 behind.  I need to cut some 81/2" muslin squares and get these started...or I'm never going to get caught up.  

 This is the last block I did...Week 30, Lock Stitch.

I did get a few more Granny Squares done for the Crochet Along.  I need  to sew 4 more onto this row.

My To-Do list for

September 6gh through September 12th

1. Make more Alphabet Snowmen.

2. TIE THE RED WORK QUILT!!!!

3.  Do TAST stitches catch up.

4. More Granny Squares.

5. Do some more Down on the Farm blocks.

TAST 

PLAYING CATCH UP........

 I've been working on several things.....trying to catch up on my monthly challenges..  I got my Color Challenge for August done.  The color is purple, but it looks like burgundy...it's a deep purple.

 I also got my for RSC 2022.. August Birdhouse..

And the Red Work quilt is still in the hoop.  Every time I walk past it, I put a stitch in.  This is my August UFO.  So I better get busy and get it done. 

I've also got the last of the trees done for my See Ya Later Alligator all pinned, and ready to sew and got the white strip pinned. 

 

This is what I'll be working on today.  And finishing up my Down on the Farm embroidery piece so I can start the next one...which will be a nesting hen.   There is a small area to the left that needs to finished up.

Well, I've got a lot of sewing to do, so better get to it.  Hope you all have a wonderful....

 

TUESDAY......

 so it must be To-Do Tuesday being hosted by Texas Quilt Gal.  My list from last week.

The Red Work quilt is still in the hoop. 

 

 I didn't get the second Down on the Farm started, but the first one is all done except for some green grass.

 I finished my Wk 25 of TAST.  It's the Fern Stitch.  Just have to put the words on.  Wk 26 is the Barb Stitch...I'll be starting that one today.

And ta da...I got the pink baskets done, it's a filmsy now.

 I didn't get my Alphabet Snowman quilt blocks started...so that will be back on the list this week.  I can't make up my mind what color of fabric I want the blocks done with...I don't want bleached muslin...I want to do it on a light blue...but have none....so I'm thinking maybe a red print, if I have enough...if not the red print....maybe a green print.  See what I mean...can't make up my mind!!

 My To-Do List for August 23 through August 29....

1. Finish the Red Work Quilt!!

2. Finish block 1 of Down on the Farm...and start the 2nd block.

3. TAST....wk 26..Barb Stitch.

4. Start the Alphabet Snowman Quilt.

I got more purple baskets pinned and ready to sew.  

 

The Red Work quilt is still in the hoop, I got a few more ties done....at this point I may get it done by Christmas....ha, ha.

 I got a few more Hand Picked blocks done.

I started sewing my Granny Squares together.  I've got 1 row done.

My Down on the Farm block is almost done....just a little more green to finish it up.

 

My To-Do list for August 17th through August 23rd.....

7. Sew more Granny Squares together.  I'm doing these for the Crochet Along going on over at...Jolly Jabber...go check it out.

I've got a long list to accomplish, so I better get busy..and you all.....

 

SOMETHING NEW......

 and something new to me.  Over at Elm Street Quilts they have a Kawandi Quilt.  I made one that has lots of scraps with no order or color order. I gathered up some of my scraps and started putting them together.  This is what I will be working on for a while.  It's a pretty big block, it won't take many to make this quilt.  I just need to sew them down.  I found a place that gives you the history behind Kawandi Quilts and great info.  Go HERE.

I was in the mood to embroider last night...so I dug out my Down on the Farm block 

 

and worked on it.  This is going to be a mostly embroidered quilt...I'll add in some applique quilt blocks to finish it up.  The next block is a Nesting Chicken.

I cut some purple baskets and have one pinned and ready to go..  I need to cut some more Muslin 61/2" blocks to do more.  I thing a couple more rows will get this one ready to be a filmsy.

And I worked on my Pine Trees for the See ya Later Alligator Blog Hop.

My One Monthly Goal and 2022 UFO Challenge is to get the Red Work quilt tied and add the binding.  The Tying is almost done, then deciding what color to make the binding...I'm thinking of using a black or green.

1st TUESDAY OF AUGUST......

 Hello August and everyone.....I hope your have a wonderful day.  Yesterday I spent the day cutting squares to sew my "stuff" on.  As for today....it's time to post my To-Do Tuesday list from last week.

1.  Tye Red Work Quilt

2. More Pink and Purple Baskets

3. Work on Hand Picked. 

The Red Work Quilt is still in the hoop waiting to be tied.  I worked on other "stuff" this week.  

I also got some Pink and Purple baskets done.  And I cut and pinned my center for my basket quilt  It's going to have flowers in it....I'm going to try something new for this...make some crocheted flowers along with fabric.  I may even slip in a fake flower.

 

And I got more blocks cut for my Hand Picked Quilt.  Now all I need to do is get my light box out and trace the patterns on them.

 This is the pattern I need to trace onto the squares.  These are only 4 1/2" squares

As for what I'm planning on doing this coming week...basically the same thing that is listed above.  

To- Do Tuesday August 2nd through August 8th....

1. Work on Hand Picked blocks

2. Start putting the Pink and Purple baskets together.

3. Tie the Red Work quilt and Cut Binding.

TO-DO TUESDAY TIME.......

 My To-Do Tuesday from last week....

1. Finish binding and label Zoe's Quilt.✔

2. Mare more Pink and Purple Baskets.✔

3.  Finish Wk 25  of  TAST and start Wk 27.👎

2 out of 3 isn't bad, for me anyway.   I've been consumed with finishing Zoe's Flag Quilt this week.  It's finally finished.  I put the label on last night and now it's in the washer.  This is also for my UFO Blog Hop.

I did manage to get a couple more pink baskets pinned and ready to sew.  I'll be cutting out the purple ones today.  Plus I have to cut some more 8 1/2' muslin blocks.  

 Next project is to get the Red Work Baskets tied.  I put it in the hoop last week....well all I can say...it's still there.  I'll be working on the tying this week.  Then I have to decide what color to use for the binding.  I'm thinking about a Light Gray or Red.  I'll have to see if I have enough of those 2 colors to make binding.

My Hand Picked quilt has been sorley neglectd.  So it's going on this list this week.

ZOE'S FLAGS ARE DONE....

This is my Monday Making project this week.  To get the label on and box this quilt up and send it off to Zoe.

Up next is the Red Work Baskets.  It's in the hoop waiting to be tied.

My Nature Notes this week is the Orange Lillies, they are all so pretty.  

I also did a few stitches on my embroidery.  I'm working on my TAST stitches.  TAST is located at Sharon's place...Pintangle.  Lots of stitches to learn.  This is where I'm at...the Fern Stitch.  It's taking forever to put all those stitches in.
