Amazon April
Dip your needle into the vast swath of fabric dedicated to your BIGGEST projects!

For the month of April I have been working on my Granny Got Color blanket.  I got the pattern over at Caron International.  When April started I had 4 rows on my blanket.  I've now got 7 rows of 9 done.  I got a little side tracked the last week.  I've started a new project, it's a Ripple afghan.  I'm making this for my daughter-in-law for Christmas.  So I thought I'd better get started on it.  This is the Granny Got Color blanket.

And this is the Ripple afghan I've started.  Love the colors in this. This was free pattern  over at Crochet Pattern Central.  And Heather picked out the colors herself.  The colors are Gray Heather, Zebra, Light Gray and Aran.  The yarn is from Red Heart.
 The May theme is............
May Memories

Remember when you took that class? Or decided to commemorate that event? And then abandoned your poor WIP? Take a stroll down memory lane by working on it again.

I will be working on a project I started 2 years ago and have abandoned.  It's a book of Doilies I found a long time ago a Micheal's.   It's called A year of Doilies and put out by Leisure Arts.  I was going to do a doily a month, but got side tracked as usual by something else.  That was 2 years ago.  So for the month of May I will be working on this.  Here is the doily I was working on and stopped.

This is the book I'm using with all the patterns in it.

This squirrel was trying to get a drink from this pot, every time he touched it, the post would move.  He finally gave up and went to another pot.

116/366
This is what's left of a busy, bustling down town.  All the business has moved to the mall or the by-pass.

117/366
Bella discovered this little hill.  She ran up and down for the longest time.  While Luke done his own thing, inspecting the stairs.

118/366
Bella and Luke threw all the toys out of the toy box and got in.

119/366
A new decoration in the garden.  My hubby found this broken Hamster ball in the trash.  I found it laying in his junk pile and asked if I could have it for the garden.  I like it!
My Favorite Picture for April is......

FIRST OF THE MONTH

Jan over at Murrieta 365 hosts a meme called First of the Month.  The idea is to take a picture of the same thing the first of the month.  And use that all year.  Well, here it is almost May and I've only done 1 picture, January.  My subjects for the year is Bella and Luke.  So this is a catch up for me.

PROJECT 366 REWIND - WEEK #16

Sarah and Gina are the hosts for Project 366 Rewind.  Hop over and check out all the pictures everyone is sharing of their week.

106/366
My hubby's riding mower, with almost 2 acres of yard to mow, it's a necessity.
107/366
The hutch in the kitchen with all my collection of dishes.  Some old and some new.
 108/366
The Bleeding Hearts, they are so delicate looking, but are very hardy.  They come up every year.

109/366
Do you know where your electricity comes from?  This is where ours comes into our house.
 110/366
My hubby cutting wood.  This is for next winter.  The chain saw makes lots of smoke.

111/366
These are called Silver Dollar.  After the flower is gone they have a little seed pod that looks like a Silver Dollar.  They blow in the wind and scatter.  They are also very hard to get rid of once planted.
112/366
It's the middle of April and we still have a fire in the wood stove.  We are having March weather in April and we had April weather in March.  How weird is that?

SCAVENGER HUNT SUNDAY

Ashley over at Ramblings and Photos is the host for Scavenger Hunt Sunday.  Hop over and see all the pictures everyone is sharing.

Yellow - the twins toys, a lot of them are yellow.

Something that Makes you Smile - my hubby found this in the trash.  I saw it just laying around and said it would look good in my garden.  He put it there for me.  Wondering what the heck it is?  It's a giant Hamster ball, I think.

Ancient/Antique - is this bell that stands in our back yard.  It was made in 1886 by a company in Ohio.  And no we don't ring it very often, it's really loud.

Splash - not very inventive on this one.  Just turned on the faucet.

In The Sun - Bella and Luke playing on the hill.  They went up and down for the longest time.

What to look for next week.

1. Shadow
2. Keys
3. Smile
4. Unedited(SOOC)

WORDLESS WEDNESDAY, BUT WITH WORDS

I have odd stuff in my flower beds. Chairs, a bed, anything I think would look interesting. I'm dying to get an old bathtub or toilet for my garden. But for now I have a new ornament in my garden.

Bella decided she wanted to climb up on the chair in my garden. She looks pretty comfy dosen't she. But she didn't stay long. So my chair is back to being empty again, until I get a pot on it with some flowers. Waiting for the cold to clear out so I can plant some Petunia's.

SWEET SHOT TUESDAY

Bella and Luke like getting into stuff. I've got lots of pictures showing them in a basket, a skillet, a kitchen drawer. But this one they both got in. It's the tub all the toys are suppose to be in. They took out all the toys and got in the tub. Wonder if they might want a bath. lol

Heather giving the twins a ride in the wagon.

My hubby took me out for dinner at my favorite restaurant for my birthday, Long John Silver's, it's always a joy to go there and have my favorite sea food.

A toad in the grass. You may have to click on this one to see it better.

A really big log in the wood pile.

My hubby's junk pile. He sorts and stores until he has enough to sell at the recycle center.

One of many stop signs. There is one every other block.

Some pretty stone with great texture.

Grain - this sand came from Florida. A friend brought it back to me from a vacation. And yes I see the dust! lol

Transportation - Not your typical transportation, but it gets the lawn mowed.

Stitch - stitches in my Bee Quilt. I'm quilting it by hand which takes forever, with me anyway.

Bubbles - Luke is trying to catch the bubbles as they fall.
