IT'S TUESDAY, TIME......

for To-Do Tuesday.  This is my list from last week...

1.  Finish borders on SAHRR..✔

2. Start sewing Flags together.✔

3.  Re-Organize the Quilting Room.✔

4. More Granny Squares✔

5. More Pink Baskets✔

All checks this week!!   I've been bouncing back and forth from each of them.  The SAHRR is a filmsy now.

I started sewing the flags together and laid it out on my design floor.

I got my quilting room all back to normal....it lasted about 2 days...so it's back to messed up again..so this is going on my list again.

I have 10 new Granny Squares to add to my pile.  I'm going to start sewing them together to see how many more I need for a Lap Quilt.

And I have a couple more Pink Baskets to add to my pile...I need to figure out what I'm going to do with these.  Add strips between rows, sew them into rows and have a big border around them....I'll lay them out and see what I like.

So all my complaining about bouncing between everything did pay off.  This week I'll be getting my cutting table out and sandwiching a couple quilts.  This is a for sure thing!  No more saying and not doing it!!!!!!!

My list for June 28th through July5th.

1. Sandwich a couple quilts!!!!!

2. Finish putting the Flags together.

3.  Start sewing Granny Squares together.

4. Lay out Pink Baskets and see what to do.

5.Put the quilting room back to normal.

A LITTLE OF THIS.....

and a little of this...I've been working on several different things this week...jumping back and forth between them all.  I don't feel like I've accomplished anything at all.  So lets head down the list and see.

My Color Challenge for June..Mustard

The Crazy Quilt is being neglected.

The Dresden Plates are still in a baggie, need to cut some Muslin fabric.

Started putting the Flags together

.

Got a couple more Granny Squares done.

A Couple more Hand Picked Blocks done.

A couple more Pink Baskets.

Only one of these is anywhere close to being a filmsy.  The Flag quilt just needs to be sewed together and borders put on.  One thing for sure I'm doing today is get some muslin blocks cut for the Dresden Plates.  And work on my Hand Picked blocks.  I'm linking up with....Slow Sunday Stitching, Oh! Scrap, and Patchwork & Quilts.

Have an awesome stitching....

PINK BASKETS.......

are found....I posted Tuesday about my missing Pink Baskets.  Well, the room is now in order and I found my Pink Baskets.  I got  5 of them pinned, so now I'm sewing them down.  This is the one I'm working on right now.

The SAHRR has been an obsession with me, trying to get it to filmsy stage.  Well it is finally a filmsy.....yea!

My next project is going to be a Dresden Plate quilt.  I was digging around in my boxes and found a whole lot them.  I'm not sure, but I think this is going to have to be a 16" block.  I'll have to cut one to see if it works.

Well, I guess that's it for today.   I' linking to:  I Like Thursday and Needle N' Thread Thursday.

Have great....

TUESDAY AGAIN......

time to post my To-Do Tuesday list...last weeks list reads like this.

1. Sandwich a quilt.👎

2. Sew Flags together.

3. SAHRR....sew on borders..started.

4. More Granny Squares

5. More Pink Baskets👎

No quilts got sandwiched.  I really need to just do this.  I've got 11 quilts ready to be sandwiched and one is all most a filmsy.

I didn't sew any of the flags together, but I did lay them out on the design floor to see what I need.  So I'm counting this one done.

My SAHRR is getting borders.  Just need to sew 2 more on and this one can join the 11 other filmsy's

I also got a few more Granny Squares done for the Crochet Along I'm doing.  I've got a bag full  of them now.  I'll start sewing them together and see how I'm progressing.  I want to make a Lap Throw, so I'll have to  do some research on size.

No more Pink Baskets done, I've misplaced them somewhere in this melee of a quilting room.  At the moment everything is out of order.  This is also my laundry room.  So when I'm doing laundry I have to shift everything around.  Which is what it is now.

This also includes Bob having a Bone Treat.  This is his favorite room to lay in.  The floor is cement and on a hot day he lays here.  Bob is pretty big.  He is part Mastiff and part Labrador.  And he weighs around 200 lbs.  And he's also not a good guard dog.  He's more of a gentle giant.

 But we LOVE him💘

So when everything goes back to order, I'll find the pink baskets.  Here's what the Pink Baskets look like...so I did pretty good this week, 3 out of 5 checks.

My To-Do List for June 21st through  June 28th.

1.  Finish borders on SAHRR..

2. Start sewing Flags together.

3.  Re-Organize the Quilting Room.

4. More Granny Squares

5. More Pink Baskets

BLOG HOPPING......

I was blog hopping and ran across this place, Diary of a Stay at Home Mom.  She has a meme called...

Happy Homemaker Monday.  So I thought I would give it try.  As for me, I went outside before it got hot, and puttered around the yard..  Picked up some trash and cleaned out one of my flower beds, which doesn't really have flowers. But it has this weed growing in it, not sure what it is.  Any suggestions????

The weather here is...

cool at the moment, but it is suppose to get in the 90's today.

FINALLY A COOL OFF.....

came...it only lasted a couple days.  It's back to hot again.  So I took advantage of the cool down and did some crocheting.  I am doing the Crochet Along over at Jolly Jabber.  They have one for yarn, quilting and Cross Stitch, interested, just click on the link above and see...you might join in too.   I've got quite a few Granny Squares stacked up.

These are going to ripped out and used in the bunch of granny squares I'm making.

I also got  my Blue Birdhouse made for RSC 2022 Color Challenge.  It reminded me of the big Blue Spruce tree in our front yard.  There are always birds sitting on the limbs.

I laid out Zoe's Flags today.  This is going to be a lap quilt...for Zoe to use at her practice meets.  Her legs get cold!

What I'll be working on today is the SHARR...it's almost a filmsy.  This quilt top is made with all scraps..so I think it qualifies for Oh! Scraps.  Just needs a little more embroidery and a border.

Hope you all have an awesome.....

HOT, HOT, AND MORE HOT........

We've been under a Heat Advisory and a Heat warning for the last 4 days.

The temps have been in the high 90's, with the "feels like" being in the 3 digit range.  This is our current map.

 We are currently under a.......

...HEAT ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT EDT TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Heat index values of 95 to 100 are expected this
  afternoon and evening.

* WHERE...Portions of northern Indiana and northwest Ohio.

* WHEN...Until midnight EDT Thursday night.

I live in that red area.  Today we are under a Heat Advisory.  So we are staying inside with the air conditioner running full blast!

I'm not working on a full quilt, just working on blocks...that way I don't have too much fabric laying on my body.  I did do some more work on my SAHRR last night.  I can "see the light at the end of tunnel" on this quilt.  I have a couple more garden signs to embroider, and add the border, and this one will be another filmsy to add to my bulging box.

This is quilt has so much color, I've decided it needs a neutral color as a border. These are what I've picked out for the border.

Plus the Crazy Quilt is still in the hoop.  I put a few more stitches in last night.  This quilt is extra heavy, there are 5 layers of fabric plus all the embellishments on it.  The blocks are made on a muslin backing and each block measures at 12 1/2".   I'm really enjoying tying this quilt.  This is the first Crazy quilt I ever made. I'm working on an  8 1/2" one now.

I'm still reading The Janus Stone by Elly Griffiths.  Really good series.  I'm on book  2 of 14.

My personal reading challenge is to read the whole series of Diary of a Wimpy Kid by Jeff Kenny.

I've finished books 1 and 2.  Don't let the fact that these are "kids" books scare you off reading them.  They are really funny  and serious.  All about growing up and Middle School adventures.  You can read my post about these books at my book blog, Just Books.

While I'm working on a quilt....I watch t.v.  I'm still watching Law and Order...Criminal Intent. I'm on season 7 right now.  There are 10 seasons.  I subscribe to several streaming channels...I'm watching this on Peacock.

Well, that's what's going on in my world right now.    I'm linking up with

I like Thursday!

Needle and Thread Thursday
