SCRAPPY GREEN......

Over at So Scrappy, it's still green for the color this month.  I made a couple more Crazy Quilt blocks.

Someone asked last week about my Quilt Journal and how those pieces of fabric pinned in the corners of the block work into my journal....

This is a spread in my journal on Crazy Quilt blocks....

I have a picture of the block, samples of threads used, fabrics used....and I list how many buttons, ribbons, laces, or what ever else I use for embellishments. 

I'm also sharing a picture of my sons dogs...for Camera Critters....he has always had dachshunds...he's had 6 of them over the years...Dachshunds have a life span of about 8 to 10 years.  When he would loose one, he would go find another one.  The latest one is Toby....Toby is a rescue dog...my son drove to Illinois to get him...this is Toby snoozing....

IT'S THURSDAY.....

What I like about Thursday.....it's only one more day until Friday and the weekend.  I get to stay up late and sleep in.  YEA!

I also have some shopping to do this weekend.  Need laundry items.  And where do I get them....the Dollar Store.  Laundry soap, fabric softener and bleach.  And not name brads either.  Can't afford those.  Dollar Store brands work just as good as the name brands.

The one thing I don't buy off brand is bleach.  It's Clorox for me....

We were all outside this past weekend.  So took some random photos to share. 
The Honeysuckle is blooming.....smells so GOOD.

We have been having cool nights here.  Had to get my fuzzy, snuggle socks out.  When I wear these they remind me of Pipi Longstocking....lol

BOB.......

Bob is our dog, he is part Mastiff and Labrador.

This is Bob up close and personal.  As Bella says, "he has a big head".

Back in June, Bob got hit by a car.  Thanks to his big size, that's what the vet said saved him,  nothing was broken and no internal injuries.  But he is marked, see that stripe on his back, that's where the tire of the car rolled over him.

Bob is a "Gentle Giant", he loves everyone, except for cats!  lol

DOGS.....

We have 2 dogs.  One is a Miniature Dachshund(Toby) and the other is a Mastiff/ Labrador mix(Bob).   During the week of July 4th the fireworks were going off all around us.  The dogs did not like the fireworks.  They would find hiddey holes to escape to.  Got a picture of them hiding out upstairs in the twins room.  The look frightened in this picture.

They both love being outside, but they refused to go outside for very long.  They would hear a firework go off and ran back in the house.

FAMILY ADDITION.......

About 2 weeks ago we found a dog roaming around our place.  So we fed him.  The saying is , if you feed an animal it's yours, well that's true.  So now we have a new dog.  Since we don't know his name, he has 3 names Brownie, Bear, Bob.  He will answer to either name.  My son took him to the vet to see if he has a chip, but no chip.  The vet is part of our Animal Shelter.  He put the dog up on the internet at a place where everyone can look for their lost pets.  He said if no one claimed in 3 days he was ours.  No one did, so now he's ours.  Everyone met Bob.......

We aren't sure what breed he is, but we think he's part Mastiff.  He's not very old so he has some more growing to do.  He chews on everything!  And he loves to pull and tug.  Bob and Toby are getting along.  But Bob wants to play with Toby, but he's so big he may hurt him, so we try not to let Bob get to frisky.

So there is our new family addition.  Aren't they cutie's!

TOBY TROUBLE.....

I am sure we have all seen cats get on the kitchen table.  But, have you ever seen a dog get on the table......

I'm Innocent....

Tobby sees the chair pulled away from the table and he hops right up on the table.  I've even caught him up on the washing machine.  There was a chair sitting in front of the washing machine and he hopped right up there.  I swear he's part mountain goat.

Does that look like an innocent face to you??

CANINE

Billy, our miniature dachshund, is about as domestic as they come.  He's a laid back, easy going dog.  When we were have our snow storm a couple weeks ago, he got all snowy when he went out for a potty break.   I captured some of the snow that was on him.

"It's a little snowy out there"

 "It's melting fast."

"Are we done now."

Love the look on his face.

I'm talking for Billy, our miniature dachshund.  Even though he can't "talk" he's really good at getting his message across.  I'm eating a piece of jerky and Billy wants some.

BILLY

Thought I would give an update on Bill.  Who is Bill??  He's our Miniature Dachshund, he's a rescue dog.  We got him last October.  This is what Billy looked like then.

 He's put on some weight and is happy now.  This is Billy now.

He's napping with his chew toy.
