MY THOUGHTS: The minute I picked this book and read the synopsis I was hooked. I love reading books set in the 1600's and onward. This book starts in 1783 with the death of Joshua Poldark. The story follows Ross Poldark through to December 1787. The story follows the life of Ross. He's come home to life not of his choosing. Ross has to start over. His farm is run down, his father has died, and his Elizabeth is marrying his cousin. So Ross goes on.....he starts with the farm, buying some animals and planting crops. But will Ross ever find love and happiness again? I give this book......5
