"A" is for Alibi - Sue Grafton
Product Description(Amazon.com)
A tough-talking former cop, private investigator Kinsey Millhone has set
up a modest detective agency in a quiet corner of Santa Teresa,
California. A twice-divorced loner with few personal possessions and
fewer personal attachments, she's got a soft spot for underdogs and lost
causes.
That's why she draws desperate clients like Nikki Fife. Eight years ago,
she was convicted of killing her philandering husband. Now she's out on
parole and needs Kinsey's help to find the real killer. But after all
this time, clearing Nikki's bad name won't be easy.
If there's one thing that makes Kinsey Millhone feel alive, it's playing
on the edge. When her investigation turns up a second corpse, more
suspects, and a new reason to kill, Kinsey discovers that the edge is
closer―and sharper―than she imagined.

MY THOUGHTS: I read this book a long time ago, but couldn't remember any of it except for the last chapter. Since I'm trying to read the Alphabet series, I wanted to start at the beginning. Kinsey is on the hunt for a killer that got away with murder 8 years ago. But can she hunt them down? There are lots of twists and turns in this book. The first time I read this book I didn't know who it was until the last chapter. Sue Grafton makes me think of Agatha Christie books. If you want to start a new series of books, this is the one for you. Sue Grafton is currently up to the letter X in this series. Only two more left. I give this book 5.....
I've decided to join Corinne for the Outdo Yourself Reading Challenge. The books I'm reading for this challenge are listed in my Reading Challenges Tabs at the top of my blog. I'm a little late getting started but I've already read 10 books and my goal is for level 1....Getting Your Heart Rate Up.....5 more books than I read last year, which will be a total of 68 books to read for 2017. Not sure if I'll make it, but I'll do my best.
It's also the end of May, so have to report my Bookish Bingo over at Chapter Break. I filled 17 squares on my bingo card, including the free space.
Great job on 17 squares!
