A Farewell to Arms - Ernest Hemingway
Product Description(Amazon.com)
Written when Ernest Hemingway was thirty years old and lauded as the best American novel to emerge from World War I, A Farewell to Arms is
the unforgettable story of an American ambulance driver on the Italian
front and his passion for a beautiful English nurse. Set against the
looming horrors of the battlefield—weary, demoralized men marching in
the rain during the German attack on Caporetto; the profound struggle
between loyalty and desertion—this gripping, semiautobiographical work
captures the harsh realities of war and the pain of lovers caught in its
inexorable sweep.

MY THOUGHTS: This is my book clubs choice for November. Although I've wanted to read classic books, I have a hard time staying on task and finishing the book. I don't really like the way the classic books are written, they totally different from the way books are written now. This story is about a man remembering a woman he was in love with. But he's also dying and telling the story to someone. The author weaves a beautiful love story from the first world war. I give this book 3.....
This book is for 2 of my reading challenges.......
