DOILY

For the month of May I was going to work on my Year of Doilies.  Sadly it went in the drawer and didn't come back out.  So I'll save it for another day.  Why did it go in the drawer?  For one thing it's giving me fits.  I've ripped the thing out 3 times and it keeps coming out wrong.  So I'm really frustrated with it.

What has kept me busy this month is a new project.  It's a Christmas gift for my DIL.  It's a Ripple Afghan and I'm calling it my Zebra Afghan.  It's about halfway done.

I love the color combo in this afghan.  It's working up pretty fast. And now on to June.  What are we doing for June.........


I'm going to be working on my Bee Quilt.  It has been neglected, I can't work on it very long as I have problems seeing the stitches. I'm hand quilting it and it gets a little hard to see the stitches after a while.

SAND

We got the twins some sand to play in.  They don't like it!  They don't like walking on it.  They stand at the outside edge and scoop it up to pour into the trucks.

Beneath Your Feet - sand, we got the twins some sand to play in.

Face Your Fears - went to my archives for this one.  Fear of Heights, going up on the foot bridge to take some pictures was a scarey thing for me.

Currently - the grass is growing and the birds are looking for seeds and worms.

Bella wanted some chips, so they grabbed the pringles can and brought it to me.  She has a determined look about her.

PROJECT 366 REWIND (WEEK #20)

My hubby got his summons for Jury Duty, but didn't have to serve.  The trial was settled.

The orange Poppies are blooming.  For once the rain didn't beat them up.

This is all that's left of the water system that was at our house.

This bell sits in our backyard.  Yes, it works, but it's really loud.

This rose bush has been here since we moved here, which was 30+ years ago.  It blooms every year.

Fluffy - I went looking for a Dandelion, I only found one in the whole yard.

Tree(s) - We have lots of trees.  This is our little orchard.  Pears, Peaches, Cherries and Apples.

A DOILY AND AN AFGHAN

I was planning on working on a Doily.  It's from a book I bought a few years ago.  It's called "A Year of Doilies" from Leisure Arts.  I'm working on the May Doily.  This is also the 3rd time I've ripped this Doily out and started over.  I get to Rnd 18 and, wham the pattern doesn't match what I've done.  It's a simple Pineapple design and I've made lots of Pineapple Doilies over the years and haven't had any troubles.  But this one is driving me crazy.

Plus I've been sidetracked by another project I started last month.  It's a Ripple Afghan which is a Christmas present for my Daughter-in-law.  It's been cool weather here so have been taking advantage of that by working on it.
