TO-DO TUESDAY.....

I missed a couple To-do Tuesday's, so I'm starting new with this list.  I've got 3 quilts that need to be sandwiched, tied and bound.  I keep adding them to my list, but can't seem to get into the mood to do them...so I'm going to do them one at a time.  Hoping this helps!!  Have you heard of National Day?  You can find all the info about this holiday at Wikipedia...I saw a quilt made of the National Days.  I want to make one.  My quilt will be made for the Year of the child.  I've got the first block done,  there are lots of items to choose days from...I choose Winnie the Pooh Day,  January 18th.  for my January block.  So every month I'll have a new block to make and at the end of the year I'll have a new quilt.

I've got the the last block for the Tile Quilt done...

Now I need to decide what color to make the stripes...this is where you can help out.  These are the 3 fabrics I picked for the stripes....

I could use some help picking out which one to use....any ideas?  Just leave a comment or send me an E-mail...my E-mail is on my side bar.  Just click on my profile info and my E-mail is listed there.  I've also been working on my Frogs....this started out as a wall hanging, but I love how it's looking, so it's going to be a quilt.

The Sunbonnet Sue is going to get done this week...hoping I can keep Bob off the quilt so I can sandwich it...lol!

So my list for next week is....

January 12th through January 18th

1. Sandwich, tie and bind Sunbonnet Sue.

2. Cut stripes for Tile blocks.

3.  Work on more of the Frog blocks.

Hop you all.....

  1. Hi Sherrie! Well, isn't that a fun block for January. I love Winnie the Pooh and I am really looking forward to seeing what blocks you choose for each month. I like the darkest fabric for the stripes, and you've got me giggling about Bob staying off the quilt. I'm certain Sunbonnet Sue wouldn't mind but it does make it difficult to get it sandwiched. Thanks so much for linking up today. ~smile~ Roseanne

  4. What a great idea to make a National quilt! I like the dark rusty-looking fabric for your stripes, but the others are pretty too. Your frogs are cute, and I love Sunbonnet Sue, especially with Bob on it. :) Are those blocks embroidered?
