While I'm having my lunch...Chicken and Rice, I am searching the web for a pattern to use Portuguese Stem Stitch.
I found this recipe on a can of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup. It's really easy to make and doesn't take very long. to whip up and cook.
Chicken and Rice
1 can of Cream of Mushroom Soup
1 c. of water
3/4 c. uncooked white rice
1/4 tsp. paprika
1/4 tsp. pepper
4 Skinless Chicken Breast Halves
In 2 qt. shallow baking dish, mix soup, water, rice, paprika and pepper.
Place chicken on rice mixture. Sprinkle with additional paprika and pepper.
Cover. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes or until done.
Sorry I sidetracked with what I was doing. I went looking for something to embroider. I'm making a quilt, using embroidery stitches I learn.
Chain Stitch
Fly Stitch
And I'm still working on the Buttonhole Stitch
I visit Sharon over at Pintangle every Tuesday for TAST(Take A Stitch Tuesday). Sharon also has picture how too's on how to do the stitch....she also has a Stitch Dictionary...so if your looking for a certain stitch, it's most likely there. I'm using the TAST stitches to make this quilt. Every Tuesday, Sharon posts the stitch for the week. I have a little note pad and write them down. That way I have the stitch and won't make a boo boo on what stitch comes next.
I found a couple pictures I can use for the Portuguese Stem Stitch.
Not sure which one I'm going to use. I'll have to think about this one for a while. Well, that's it for now...going to finish my lunch and do some embroidery.

ReplyDeleteThat is one of my favorite dishes to make. Easy and delicious. I am just starting to embroider again too. Yours are darling.
ReplyDeleteChicken and rice was from the Cambell's label was one of my mom's go to recipes. Nothing says comfort like chicken and rice. Enjoy learning your new stitch. The SIT has been learning new stitches as she's worked on her projects, I'm pretty sure she has exceeded my limited knowledge at this point.
