I finished the Salt and Sand quilt last night. Just have to put the label on.
Working on the Orange quilt now...putting the binding on. Then I'll add the labels to Salt and Sand....and the Orange Quilt.
I've been working on my "new" quilts...instead of getting some of my older ones finished. So I'll start working on one of my older quilts. I think I'll dig out my Under the Sea quilt top....This is the first quilt I made years ago. It's a little bigger than I usually make, but when I made it, I was a lot younger and could get on the floor, now I can't. So all my quilts are put on my cutting table to sandwich. Trying to get a "big" quilt sandwiched on the cutting table is a little tricky. There are lots of frustrations and aggravation. So I'll be "trying" to get this one sandwiched before the end of the year. It needs a border, so I'll dig around in my fabrics and see what I can find.

Have and awesome....
Yay on Salt and Sand! Your Under the Sea is really cute. Good luck working on your older quilts. I feel sorry for mine, sitting in the closet waiting for sandwiching while I make new flimsys!
ReplyDeleteI know exactly what you mean...the layering process of a big quilt is what I dread. I seem to have to work at it so much to get things even and that is with using spray glue and many many pins. I get Tony to help me sometimes. And yes, I also sometimes work on brand new things instead of getting older ones done. But I do pull out the older ones from time to time and get them to the flimsy stage at least. Anyway, good luck with this. Hope you're having a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat Under the Sea quilt with those turtles sure is cute! Perhaps you can visit your local quilt shop to baste it when the time comes. Thanks for sharing on Wednesday Wait Loss.
