SUNDAY ALREADY!

Where did the week go?  I've been working on my "squirrel" project I started last week.  Did you eat Candy Hearts when you were a kid?  I did, one of my favorites.  I decided I'd make some.  So to the drawing board.  I have 3 yards of  a red check fabric.  So I got all my colors thought out and started making hearts.  I also went looking for the sayings on Candy Hearts.  Google is an awesome resource when looking for something.  I've got the first row done...yea.

So that's what I've been working on this week.  I got out my Band Sampler and did some stitching on it.

This is where I was last time I worked on it.  I wanted something else at the top with the year...so went looking for some inspiration yesterday.  So I headed over to Mary Corbet's place, Needle N' Thread.  She has a challenge going for the year.  You can read about it HERE.  Of course it's a Band Sampler Challenge.  So I've been working on mine off and on...mostly off...yesterday I wanted to put something at the top and Mary had a great idea for hers.

I put some swirls around the year using a Cable Chain Stitch.  I think it still needs something else.  Maybe some French Knots or Bullion Knots.  I'll have to think about this a while.  Plus I need to add June, July, and August info on here.  I'm kind of using this as a monthly journal of happenings here.  So I'll be working on this today as my Slow Sunday Stitching.  Which is hosted over at Kathy's place.  Head over and check out what everyone is working on.

I'm also linking up with Life in Pieces for 15 Minutes to Stitch.

Hope you have a great stitching....

TILES AND DAISIES.......

The binding has started on the Tile Quilt.  I still enjoy doing this by hand...I know it would go a lot faster if I used my sewing machine.  This is my OMG for June.

I'm at a stand still on my Daisy embroidery.  Which you can find over at Needle n' Thread. I'm going to have to get Mister Seam Ripper out.  I messed up 2 of the daisies.  The first daisy was easy...the 2nd and 3rd daisy is the ones I messed up.

The daisy, upper right is suppose to be long Fan Stitches...but mine are misshaped.   The second daisy, lower right is supposed to be Feather Stitch.....well, I don't know if you can see it very well, this is definitely  not a Feather Stitch.  So I'll be ripping these 2 out and re-doing them.  This is a series of small projects over at Needle N' Thread...Head over and check them out.  This is also my HSAL(Hand Stitch Along) I'm working on.  You can visit everyone and check out what they are working on.

Well, that's it for now...what are you planning on stitching today?

Have awesome stitching...

UPDAT: OLD AND NEW PROJECTS......

Well, I had a squirrel snick into my projects....

I got an e-mail from Needle & Thread...Mary Corbet is doing a series on small embroidery projects.  I decided to do the Daisy.  I'm still on Part 1...but making progress.  I've added a Gadget on my side bar with links to the Daisy, also a link to the other little projects Mary is sharing, if you want to try them.

It's also time for a report on my Band Sampler....This is a challenge over at Needle & Thread.  The idea is to stitch something everyday and to only use the threads you already have...NO NEW THREADS.  I've always wanted to do a Band Sampler and it seemed like the best time to start one.  Although I've been kind of lax in stitching every day.

Over at Scrap Happy, it's time to show off your RED.  I'm doing a basket for each month for RSC 2021..the color for May is Red....this is my little RED basket.

Well, that's it for today...I'm linking up with...

What Happened to Monday and Tuesday......

I had every intention of posting my To-Do Tuesday yesterday.  But I got sidetracked by company and house chores.  So I guess I'll go today.

1.  Get the outside border on Salt and Sand.πŸ‘Ž

2.  Fix the Tile Quilt.πŸ‘Ž

3. Sandwich TeapotsπŸ‘Ž and Frogs.

4. Put more rows on the AfghanπŸ‘Ž

5. Embroider the next block for TAST.πŸ‘Ž

6. Cut blocks for In The Kitchen Blog Hop.πŸ‘Ž

7. Start my Table Runner.πŸ‘Ž

Well, as you can see...this list was a bust.  I had a "squirrel" interruption.  I've wanted to make a Band Sampler for years.  And I found someone who is doing a Sampler Challenge.  Mary Corbet over at Needle and Thread is doing a Band Sampler Challenge.  Sharon over at Pintangle has joined in on this challenge also.  So that's what I was doing last week.

I did get the Frogs sandwiched and tied.  I be making the binding today and getting started on that.

I'm so behind on everything I wanted to get done.  So no more "Squirrel" interruptions.  I've got to sandwich the Teapot Quilt.  And I really need to get some muslin cut for blocks.

I started my Salt and Sand project a couple weeks ago.  But sorry to say it didn't get worked on either.  I was waiting on fabric to arrive, it took 2 weeks to get here.  So that slowed me down on this project.  Did anyone else do this Blog Hop??  You can see the list of everyone who is doing this over at Just Let Me Quilt.
