BOB......

is our dog...he's a mix of Labrador and Mastiff.  Which makes him rather big.  He sleeps in some really funny positions.  And just about anywhere in the house will do.

The step between the kitchen and laundry room....

  Most of the time he is just napping...you can tell when he's really asleep by this....

Upside down means he's conked out.

NATURAL LIGHT.....

I took this picture with just the light available at the time.  There was a little sunlight off to the left of the picture.  If this would have been taken with my old camera the picture would have been totally black.  But this new camera is awesome.  I seldom have to use the flash. This Toby, laying on the floor waiting for Tommy to get out of the shower.

CROOKED.....

I'm the one that took a crooked picture as you can see.

No I didn't just take a picture of a light pole.  I took the picture of what's on top of the pole.

I saw this squirrel scampering up this pole.  I tried to get a couple of him going up the pole, but he was moving too fast for my camera to catch him moving.

CAPTURED......

on camera that is.  We have a Groundhog that lives under our barn.  He/She, we aren't sure if this is a male or female Groundhog.  He/She comes out in the spring and eats the grass around our barn.  This spring we got a surprise.  He/She is a female Groundhog.  We have baby Groundhogs now!

UNINVITED GUEST........

The other day my hubby spotted a bat hanging on the outside screen of the front room.  These are Indiana Brown Bats.  They are on the Endangered list.  We have a colony of them that live in our attic during the summer.  Once in a great while one gets in the house.  We just scoop them up with a towel and put them back outside.  The link will take you to Wiki if you want to read a bout them.

SUNDAY........

We got some interesting weather today.  First it rained most of the night into morning, then this came......

Poor Billy went out to do his thing and got snowed on.

SHADES OF GRAY......

with a little color....This little guy was sitting on a post eating.  I kept waiting for him to turn around, but he never did.   He finished up what he was eating and scampered off.

BACKYARD VISTORS....

We have lots of critters around here.  They come up for a visit and I snap their picture.

Tree Frog - he hopped on the dining room window one night while I was working on a quilt.

This Squirrel was out foraging in the yard.  He took a little break on our deck.

And the Ground Hog came out of his burrow to check out the grass.

We have lots of critters, Opossum, Raccoons, Gophers, Squirrels, Groundhogs, Tree Frogs, Chipmunks, Deer, Coyote(which I haven't seen personally, but hubby and son have seen.  It wouldn't surprise me to look out the kitchen window and see a bear.....lol.  Not really, just me being silly.   

WILDLIFE.....

We have lots of wildlife around here.  Some of them I've captured with my camera.  Some of them are too fast for me to catch.  This little guy sat at our back door for over a week.  He was eating the bugs coming out of the cracks of the bricks.  You'll probably want to zoom in to see him, he kind of blends into his surroundings.  Just click on the picture and it'll make it bigger.

BIRD(s)......

these are the scavenger's of the back yard.  They flock in and gobble up all the garbage we throw out.  I'm not sure, but I think they are Starlings.  They are very noisy birds.

BACKYARD VISITOR.....

I was doing dishes yesterday, when out of the corner of my eye, I saw something go flying by the window.  I looked around and found this fellow.

He was after the birds that come to our garbage pile.  He isn't very big, so I believe he's a young hawk, because most hawks don't come this close to human houses.  I kept taking pictures, keep in mind I'm taking these through my kitchen window, so they aren't too good, but you can see him. This is a rear view of him.

BABIES

We have some new babies here at our place.  No they aren't human!  They are baby squirrels.  They have a nest in one of our big Maple trees.  There are 4 little babies and a mommy living there.  I took several pictures.  They all didn't turn out really good, but they will have to do.  I had to do some cropping to get close ups.  But it still didn't work very well.  As usual, just click on the picture to see it better.
