BOOK BEGINNING.....
At the moment I'm reading July in this series.  June left Cal trapped in a fishing net that is being dragged, full of fish, onto a boat.

Tons of water swirled all around me as I struggled and floundered, trying to claw my way out of the enclosing fishing net.  I knew I couldn't hold my breath much longer.  My lungs were desperate for air, and already I could feel my mouth wanting to open, even though I knew that would be a fatal move.  The net tightened, crushing me against the trapped fish.  Fins and prickly scales scored my face and hands like tiny razors.

This series of books would make an awesome movie!  I'm half way through the series and each book ending leaves me hanging, with Cal in a precarious situation.  Really good series.

THE FRIDAY 56.....
     "Let's get down to business.  Come on, dude. 
Show it to me.  At last I get to see this infamous jewel."
     I held it out to him; it was as big as the palm of my hand, the oval emerald glowing.
