The Murder Man - Tony Parsons
Product Description(Amazon.com)
Meet London police detective Max Wolfe. Insomniac. Dog lover. Coffee
addict. Boxer. Single parent. And every murderer’s worst nightmare.
Someone
has been violently killing members of London society. The killer is
strong enough and smart enough to kill with a single knife stroke, and
bold enough to kill in public. The victims span all levels of London
society, and appear to have absolutely nothing in common. As Max begins
following the killer’s bloody trail, it takes him from the bright lights
and backstreets of London all the way to the corner offices in the
corridors of power. But when Max realizes that the victims may have all
crossed paths decades ago at their exclusive private school, the case
changes. Suddenly, the murders look less random and more personal, and
Max finds the killer's reach getting closer to everything—and
everyone—he loves.

MY THOUGHTS: This is a new author for me. I really enjoyed reading this book. The author takes you into the world of the rich and privileged of London. Max Wolfe is the main character, but he sometimes gets into trouble for his outspoken ways. But he carries on to find the real killer. It all starts with a 15 year old girl at a prestigious boys school. The girl is raped and murdered by 8 school boys. Time goes by and the girl is listed as missing. The boys have all grown up and someone is murdering the 8 boys one by one. The clues seem to lead to someone else and there is an arrest, but Max thinks they have the wrong guy. So Max keeps on the case even when they have already arrested the other person. With good writing and characters this book was excellent.
This is also for 2 of my reading challenges. Full House Reading Challenge and Back to School Reading Challenge.
