Mad, Bad, and dangerous in Plaid - Suzanne Enoch

MY BOOK BEGINNING
"What do ye think, Lachlan?"
All the way from Paris, this gown was.
"What do I think aboot what?" Lachlan MacTier,
Viscount Gray, returned from the corner of the room.
"My gown," she added, trying not to sound plaintive.
He looked up from the age of cards he was playing
against her older brother Munro.  "Oh. It's fancy.  Are
ye having a costume ball fer yer birthday, then?"

I'm about 1/2 way through this book.  It's pretty good.  It's kept me interested as to what will happen to Rowena and Lachlan.

My Friday 56
Her nose crinkled as she smiled back at him.  "I think you may be a bit of rogue, sir."
"Aye.  All Highlanders are rogues.  Have ye nae leaned that?"
"I'd been wondering if the MacLawry were the rule or it's exception."
Lachlan laughed.  "Both, I ken."

BOOK BLOGGER HOP

How many books do you read in a month??

Anywhere from 5 to 20.  Depends on my mood I suppose.  Sometimes I get in a book slump and don't want to read, and then later I get in a book rush and read everything in site.  I just went through 7 books in 2 weeks and now I'm in a slump, I'm having to make myself read.  Anyone else have this strange book problem??

  2. I haven't read Suzanne Enoch in years but I used to love her. I need to check this one out. I definitely hit reading slumps where I'm just not in a reading mood - especially if I'm busy. I also find that I'll have a big rush of reading and then it's kind of like I burn out. Hopefully you'll feel like diving back into books soon.

  3. Good beginning. I'm intrigued even though I really don't like books with a lot of dialect -- tends to slow me down for some reason. I've been in a reading slump since the first of the year, so I can sympathize. Hope you enjoy your reading this week!

  6. I usually get in a slump when I am working long days and no days off but I will sometimes read a little each day just to take my mind of of my stress.

  8. Sounds funny. I might be put off by the dialect though.

  9. Oooohh!! Guys in kilts? YES!! This particular novel sounds like a fun read, as well. The beginning is rather cute, and the later selection is, as well. Gotta get a hold of this one!

WOW! You read an impressive amount of books!! I'm lucky if I can get in 4 books a month....:( Usually it's more like 2.

I get into reading slumps myself, but then I push myself, since, if I don't, I won't get ANY books read in a particular month!

    Thanks for sharing!! :)
