LAST TUESDAY OF 2020,,,,,

Hard to believe it's the last Tuesday of the year. This year went really fast, well, at least to me it did.  It's also the last Tuesday for To-Do Tuesday.

December 15th through December 22

1. Finish adding strips to Teapot quilt.

2. Do more Tile blocks.

3. Sandwich Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Sam???👎

The Teapot quilt is ready to be sandwiched.

I got 2 more tile blocks done, I need one more block and I can start adding the strips between rows.

As for sandwiching Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Sam, I sound like a broken record....but they are still waiting to be done.  Thought I would start work on these after the new year.

That makes 3 quilts I have to finish.  Hoping I feel like it and all my company has gone by then.  I love everyone visiting, but it gets a little hectic around here sometimes.  Especially with 3 teenagers in the group, it's really loud sometimes.  They get to talking and then they get the giggles.  LOL!!!!

So what will I be working on next?  I'll be adding some more to my Fall Sampler and Christmas Sampler.  And I hope to get my Frog hanging done.  My To-do list for next week...

1. Sandwich Sunbonnet Sue, Overall Sam, Teapot quilt.

2. Dig out the frog hanging and work on that.

3. Work on the Fall Sampler.

Over at Pintangle it's TAST Tuesday, the stitch this week is Rice Stitch.

And if your collecting the patterns for the Lunacy Quilt over at The Cleaver Chameleon....she has the pattern up and ready for downloading.

That's it for now, hope you all have an awesome....

FINISHES FOR 2020..........

Over at Scrap Happy this week, we are sharing our finishes for 2020.  I have a long list of quilt projects to finish.  I got 10 of them finished this year.  You can find all of the 10 quilts I finished  in my 2020 Finishes in my tabs at the top of the page.   I'll show you a few of my favorites...This is Zoe's quilt...she is a big Stitch fan...as in Lilo and Stitch.  Her quilt is full of Stitches and Cell Phones...because she is always on  her Cell Phone.

My second favorite is the Umbrella Quilt.  I bought the Raindrop fabric for something else...which reminded me of Umbrellas.

And of course I have to put the Jar Quilt up here too.  This quilt was a flimsy for a lot years.  I'm so happy I finally got it done.

What did you finish this year?  Head over to Scrap Happy and check out what everyone is sharing.

Synopis

Angela's graduate school days at MIT come to an abrupt end when she uses her hacking skills on another student's computer. Yet her mentor, Eve Abajian, arranges a new beginning for her -- as an intern in FBI's Boston field office. Her new supervisor, Assistant Special Agent in Charge William Keats, one of only two agents in the Northeast to make his rank before the age of thirty, sees in Angela a fellow prodigy. But Angela's skills come with a natural curiosity, which is also a dangerous liability.

With little training, Angela is quickly plunged into a tough case: tracking murderous brothers who go by the Poet and the Engineer. When Keats tells her to "watch and listen," Angela's mind kicks into overdrive. The obsessive thinking that earned her As on campus can prove fatal in the field.

But that other phrase....Faraday bag....was like a piece of driftwood, something I could latch on to in the middle of all this unfamiliarity.   A Faraday bag blocks out any digital signals and preserves the device in  question  exactly as it was found until is can be forensically examined.

And  over at Pintangle this week, the new stitch is...Shell Chain....the link will take you to the tutorial page.

My OMG for December is the Teapot Quilt

WHAT'S UP THIS YEAR AND NEXT.....

I've almost got the Jar Quilt done.  One more piece of binding and the label and it's done.

Have you got your next quilt for 2021 picked out?  I will be working on Sunbonnet Sue and Overall Sam.  NOTE: If you can't make out the design, just click on the picture for a close up.) I made these for my grand kids a couple years ago.  They are embroidered blocks. Well, that will be minus Bob...he decided to take a nap on the  Quilt top.  This is Bella's quilt.

Overall Sam is for my grandson, Luke.

Something besides quilts....I am doing the I'm Following A Tree over at The Squirrel Basket.  Just pop over and check out all the info on this.  Here is the tree I've been following.  It's a really big Maple tree in our back yard.  The tree is so tall I can't get a whole picture of it with my camera.  So I pick pieces of it out to show.  This is the top of the tree.  As you can see all the leaves are gone.

And this is the middle of the tree.  It has hole in it, that is where the squirrels rest while eating.  Sorry, no squirrels today.

These are the limbs at the top of tree.  The tree has severl branching limbs on it.  When we have an ice storm, I'm afraid the tree will split.  I've lived here 40 plus years.  The tree is still standing and doing well.  No major loss of limbs.

This is the tree in the spring....as you can see I still didn't get the whole tree.

That's it for today.  Well, one more thing.  Does anyone know how to fix the spacing on blogger????  I have searched and can't find anything about it.  Any tips would be appreciated.

Virtual Cookie Exchange And Christmas Blog Hop Day 1

Today is my day to post my Virtual Cookie Exchange and Christmas Blog Hop...

I've decided I needed a couple more pin cushions.  So I found one on line and made one....well, I made 3.  I made one for each season.  I'll change them out on the seasonal equinox.

As we haven't hit the winter equinox yet, fall is the one on my desk with all my pins and needles stuck in it.  These pin cushions are not exactly like the ones I got on line.  Mine aren't as puffy.  I didn't have any poly-fill, so had to use quilt batting.  But I like them and that's all that matters.  These are my Christmas gifts to me.  MERRY CHRISTMAS  to me!!!!

You can make your own....just go here.

You can have your own seasonal pin cushions!

I'm sharing a recipe I make every Christmas...it's call Tomato Soup Chocolate Cake....yea I know, sounds weird...but it's really good!

Ingredients

1/2 C. Butter                                1 1/2 C. Sugar

2 Eggs                                           2 C. Flour

1/2 C. Cocoa                                1 tbsp. Baking Powder

1/4 C. Warm Tap Water                1 can (10 3/4 oz.) Tomato Soup

Preheat overn to 350 F.  Grease and flour a 9 x 13" pan.

In a large mixing bowl, cream together butter and sugar;  add eggs, beating until fluffy.  In a small bowl mix together dry ingredients, mix tomato soup and water together.  Add dry and we ingredients alternately to the butter/sugar bowl.  Bake 30 minutes and let cool before adding frosting .  I used Cream Cheese Frosting for mine.
