SCRAPPY STITCHING......

I took a break on the Candy Hearts...I have the last row of hearts pinned, then the border goes on.  I'll finish it up tonight.

Over at So Scrappy, its time to show off  your scraps. So I worked on my RSC 2021 blocks.  I need a few more rows to finish this one.

It looks done, but the side by the wall needs a few more rows.

I also worked on my String blocks.  I have enough to start putting them together.  As soon as I get them  laid out on my design floor.  Since I've never done a String Quilt I'll have to play around with this one for awhile.  Any suggestions on how to lay it out?  Happy to get suggestions, and thanks for any you give, it's really appreciated.

Well, that's it for today...

  2. String blocks are fun to play with for layouts because there are so many possibilities! I always like when they form diamond shapes, but there's lots more ways to put them together. Try looking at string quilts on Pinterest!

  3. Your scrappy quilt is so pretty on that bed. Looking forward to Candy Hearts - I've enjoyed watching this one. I'm no help on a string quilt layout but it will look great no matter what!

  4. Love the scrappy bed quilt and the candy hearts are adorable. As for the string quilt, I recommend just playing with the layouts. You can always Google string quilts and see what you get. I agree with Little Penguin, diamonds are a wonderful way to set them. Also zig zags are a fun! Good luck!
