WELL, WHAT TO DO TODAY......

 I haven't got any quilty stuff that really needs done today or any time soon.  So I've got some free time to work on what ever I want.  I have some embroidery to catch up on. My TAST stitch for this week....the Oyster Stitch...I've got my design part way done....just have to add the Oyster stitch.  This is the design I'm using.  I'll be finishing this up today.

  I've also got to cut some basket's to start my basket quilt.  I also need to sandwich a couple quilts, but that will have to wait until tomorrow.  I need room to pull my cutting table out...so that means re-arranging my little quilt room.  And I can't do that with the grandkids home...one of them has his computer here in my quilt room, along with mine...they only have 4 days of school left....then out for the summer.  

So I think I'll work on my afghan today.  It's getting bigger, but I haven't worked on it for a while.  I ran out of the orange yarn and didn't get any until a couple weeks ago.  I also picked up a couple more colors to add to this afghan.  This is going to be a lap Afghan, so it doesn't have to be too much bigger.

I have a stack of 4 1/2" blocks cut out for something, not sure what I was going to do with these.  But I'll figure out something to use them for.  Maybe some embroidery or a small applique will work.

OOOOPS......

 I forgot to make a list for To-Do Tuesday last week...so I'm going to use my list from 2 weeks ago.

1. Tie and bind National Day Quilt.

2.  Rip out 3 rows of gray yarn on Neon Stripe.

3. Lay out Polar Bears to see where I'm at.

I started the National Day Quilt.  I got one side tied before I had to quit.  My fingers weren't feeling very well last night...they were hurting...so I only got one row done.  NOTE:  The fingers are working good today, so I'll finish tying and cut some binding for the National Day Quilt.

 2. I ripped out the gray yarn on the Neon Stripe Afghan...and found several more boo's boo's with the orange...so ripped it out.  Am putting the orange back now.  I'll finish this row and start the gray back.

3.  Polar Bears got laid out, sewed together, border is on.  It's in the hoop waiting to get tied.

I almost forgot to put my TAST stitch for this week here.  The stitch is for Week 6, Herringbone Stitch.  This is not one of my favorite stitches.  I have trouble with the fabric puckering...but this is my best effort to do this.  You can find this over at Sharon's place, Pintangle.  Hop over and check it out.  She also has a stitch dictionary.

 My SAHRR 

 The new round for SAHRR is posted, it's a Signature Block.  I'll have to figure out a pattern that I can applique.  I'll work that out this week.  See where it takes me.

I'VE BEEN TRYING......

 for 3 days to post something, but life keeps getting in the way.  Doctors appointments, guests in the house, and just everyday chores.  So this post may be a little long.  And it's Tuesday, so this will also be my To-Do Tuesday post.

Last weeks list...

Sorry to say the National Day Quilt is still in the hoop waiting to be tied.  Same excuse as above.  As far as I know, this coming week should be clear of all the hold ups.   

I ripped out the gray yarn on my Neon Stripe Afghan...and to my surprise, I found several boo boo's.   See the lower right corner...it isn't square..that was 1 of several boo boo's I fixed.  Now I can continue with the gray yarn and decide what color to add next. 

I've laid out the Polar Bears,  I like this arrangement much better.  I still need a few more blocks and the stripes between the rows, then an outside border.  Hoping to have this all done by next Thursday, as that's my day to post about the Polar Bear Plunge Blog Hop.  Are you joining in on this?  Head over to Moose Stash Quilting to check out all the info.

And it's TAST, week 4 over at Sharon's place, Pintangle.  Head over and check out all the embroidery stitches she has in her Stitch Dictionary.  This week's stitch is the Stem Stitch.  I'm going to make a quilt of all the TAST stitches this year.  So I've doing a little embroidery along with quilting.  This is my Stem Stitch block.

I've also got my Center square for the SAHRR cut.  The block is 14 x 14 inches.  This week's addition is going to be curves...I'll have to think on this one and see what I can come up with.  The block looks white, but it's a very light brown with butterfly's.

1. The Neon Stripe Afghan is growing, but I'm going to have to rip the 3 rows of dk. gray out...it's been a few years since I made large Granny Square Afghan.  I totally forgot I have to increase to keep the corners square.  As you can see this in the bottom right.

2.  I have a couple more Polar Bears done.

I like them both.

3.  I finally got the National Day Calendar Quilt in the hoop.  I'll start working on that tomorrow.

 hopefully a few new projects to work on.  Speaking of new projects.  I got lots of new yarn for Christmas.  I've been crocheting a lot the last few days.  I've got 2 Granny Square projects going.
