I've got blocks caught up for the A to Z Blogging Challenge to the letter T. Today's letter is
P...for Pumpkin
I've always considered pumpkins a veggie....but it's NOT.
A pumpkin, from a botanist's perspective, is a fruit because it's a product of the seed-bearing structure of flowering plants. Vegetables, on the other hand, are the edible portion of plants such as leaves, stems, roots, bulbs, flowers, and tubers.
Want to know more about the Pumpkin? Wikipedia has all the info you want to find out.
I am working on a National Day Calendar Quilt. April is Car Care Month. So I of course made a Car block for my quilt. I need to put a tail light on this car. I'll be using a Bullion Knot for this. Want to know how to make a Bullion Knot...hop over to Sharon's place, Pintangle. She has a picture tutorial on how to do this stitch.
And yesterday's post was about my Table Runner. I finished the center embroidery for this. Now to figure out what to do with the rest of the space. Any suggestions?????

Yep, a fruit! Like a tomato or a pepper. Is it car care month? I know I need an oil change, so I'll do that for my car! It should be easy, I have a life-time contract to get them free, but haven't wanted to sit in a waiting room of strangers.
ReplyDeleteI knew tomato is a fruit, but didn't know for the pumpkin! Your car is veru pretty!
