BILLY

Thought I would give an update on Bill.  Who is Bill??  He's our Miniature Dachshund, he's a rescue dog.  We got him last October.  This is what Billy looked like then.

 He's put on some weight and is happy now.  This is Billy now.

SPRING FEVER????

Can little ones get spring fever?  I'd say so.  The twins are getting antsy being in the house, they want to go outside and play again.  Bella stands at the dining room window and looks out.  She'll stand there for awhile.  She does this several times a day. 

BASKET FUN

The twins like to play with the laundry baskets.  They get in them and sit.  But Luke decided to turn the basket upside down and get under it.

NEW QUILT

I've started another quilt.  I call it a Coloring Book Quilt.  Why, because I got all the patterns from a coloring book.  Some of the blocks will need some embroidery on them and some are just fine the way they are.

WIRELESS

Anyone out there on the wireless network??  I don't really understand this process, but we are about to go wireless here at our house.  Why, well the cable company has jacked our bill up from 124.00 to 164 dollars a month.  When you live on a fixed income every penny counts.  So 40.00 more dollars on the month is just too much.  So our son, who is the computer tech here, is getting us all fixed up.  We will have wireless internet soon.  This is where our wireless is coming from.

See that water tower, that's where the wireless is.  It's about 7 blocks from our house.  Our son has been testing it out for the last month and he says the reception is really good.  The internet is a little slower than what we have been getting.  But we can live with it. 

ABSENTEE BLOGGER

I've been gone from blogging for awhile.  I kind of lost the "urge" to blog.  I'm sure we've all had this happen some time or another.  I'm going to try and get back into the swing of things here.  I've made a few changes and am hoping to get started on a new look.  So the blog may be under construction when you stop by. 
I will be sharing pictures of my twin grandbabies, Bella and Luke.   Also my crocheting.  And I've started a new quilt, it's what I cal a Coloring Book Quilt.  I took all the patterns from a coloring book.  I do what is called Needle Turn Applique work.  This is a link so you can check it out.  I'll also be giving a book report on any books I'm reading. 
This is my life right now.  My grandbabies, crocheting, quilting and books.  I may also throw in a meme or two.  So I'm looking forward to getting back in the swing of things.  Have a great day!

I've been a bad blogger....Haven't posted any pictures since Week 35.  So I'm way behind.  I've got the pictures just haven't posted them.  I'm bad!!  So keep in mind these were taken a couple months ago.

 MY THOUGHTS:  This is a light and humorous book all about being a freshman in high school.  Zak and his friends have some quirky things happen to them during the school year.  The stories included in this book are a tasty marshmallow, sculpted brain in a jar and of course a cute girl.  Although I like them all, my favorite has to be the story of ice cubes in the milk.   A really good and fast book to read.

What does Classic mean?  Went looking for an answer and got this.  This didn't actually help me out.

 My version of Classic means something that is old and been around for years.  That goes in and out of style.  And what could be more classic than an "Envelope" purse.   I found this one at a local Flea Market.  It fits my needs wonderfully.  Small and tucks under my arm.  This also meets 2 of my 101 in 1001 list.

BIRDIE IN A CAGE

 My hubby bought this bird cage at a rummage sale for 2.00.  I couldn't stand not using it.  But we don't have a bird, so decided to see if I could find a pattern for a crocheted bird.  I went to my favorite place to look for patterns, Crochet Pattern Central.  I found this really cute pattern for this bird there.  So now my bird cage has a bird in it.  The bird cage sits on our deck, so the little bird won't last long in the weather, but he's really easy to make, so I can make a new one when he gets weather worn.  The pattern is here.
