I like a new to me t.v. show I've been watching on Netflix...Designated Survivor with Keifer Sutherland ...it's really suspenseful....

HQAL AND RSC 2020.....

Hi everyone...I've been kind of slack about blogging the last couple of weeks...haven't had much to say or show you.  Working on the same things...which gets boring after a while.  What have I NOT been working on????  The Bee Quilt for one....way toooo HOT to have a quilt laying on my lap...so I'll be showing you what I HAVEN'T got done...

I didn't get any of the bee hives done...the quilt is laying on my cutting table.  I think this will be a winter project.  On a good note...I did get the last of my purple crazy quilt blocks embellished.  So I'm all caught up for August, which is Purple...here's a couple blocks I've finished...

Today the plan is to cut some rain drop fabric for borders for my umbrella quilt.  First I have to lay it out and see how I want it organized...I have a picture of it in my mind...we'll see how that comes out.

I think I'll throw in a few blocks of the rain drip fabric with umbrella's on it.  I'll have to see how that goes...you know when you get picture of what you want a quilt to look like?  That's what I'm thinking about now...but haven't got it all worked out yet.  Well, that's it for now..have an awesome....

On to this week's To-Do Tuesday list....

August 4th through August 10th

1. Zoe's Quilt
2. Pull fabric for Zoe's Quilt binding.✔
3. Work on Valentine Quilt✔

1.  about Zoe's quilt....I seem to have lost my mojo for getting this quilt done...ummm....

2.  Got the fabric pulled for Zoe's Quilt binding..I'm going with black...I think it will set the colors in the quilt really good.

3. Got the Valentine quilt on the cutting table and sandwiched...it's awaiting it's turn on the hoop to be tied.

4. Didn't get the raindrop fabric cut...I had company all week..so my sewing schedule got  all messed up...I had 5 teenagers visiting this past week...I wouldn't recommend that to anyone..by the time they all left I was ready to pull out my hair!!!   So there wasn't too much sewing done this week.  I did get a few more umbrella's done.

Sharon over at Pintangle hosts TAST every Tuesday...it's a chance to learn new embroidery stitches......this week it's the Lock Stitch.  Here's mine...it's a bit wonky, but I like it.

ADMIRING A QUILT.....

I have been blog hopping a the last few weeks...I came across a blog called Happy to be Scrappy...which fits me to a "T"...as I love making quilts from scraps.  The person behind Happy to be Scrappy is Deb.  I've been admiring her Umbrella Quilt for a couple of months.  It's so colorful and pretty.  So I've decided to make an Umbrella Quilt myself.  Here is the first one....
Can you see a quilt of Umbrella's in all colors of the rainbow?  I can...go check out Deb's quilt...it's beautiful!!

On another note:  I totally forgot about the HQAL...I didn't get any stitching done the past few weeks because of the HOT and HUMID weather we've been having....So I'll just show what was working on last month....
I want to add some quilting to the bee hive...I was waiting on some brown and black quilting thread to work on this...it finally came....but as I said, it's been toooo hot to work on it....we will be getting a cool down this week, so hopefully I'll get some quilting done.

Go visit the others doing this HQAL(Hand Quilting A Long).
