PROGRESS ON SEVERAL PROJECTS......

 I've made progress on several projects I'm working on.  First up is the Quilty 365...I was digging around in a box yesterday and found some more of the pink I'm using for the strips and no they weren't in my Pink Scrap Box...how did that happen.!  Just have to finish up the embroidery.

My Antique Roses are blooming.  I've lived her for 40 years and they were already here and blooming.

I started my Crochet Along last night.  You have to see how many you can make for the summer.

I have 3 monthly challenges I'm working on.  Color Challenge, RSC 2022, and National Day.  I got the paper patterns cut and pinned to there muslin blocks.  Just have to pick out the fabric and start cutting.

I almost forgot to post my OMG goal for June.   I have about  6 or 7 filmsy that need to be sandwiched.  That is my goal this month...to sandwich 3 of them.

MONTHLY GOALS.....

 Since it's February,  l am going to be working on one quilt.....to finally get it finished.  It's the Sunbonnet Sue Quilt.  All the blocks are embroidered.  This is a birthday gift for my granddaughter, Bella.  Her birthday is in July, so I should have enough time to finish it.   BUT, yes there is a but, her brother Thomas, is her twin, so he gets a quilt too.  His quilt is an Overall Sam that is also embroidered.  So for February I'll be working on these 2 quilts.  The quilt tops are done....they need to be sandwiched, tied and bound.   That's Bob on the quilt top.  He wouldn't move....

1. Make more Tile Blocks

2. Make the Frogs into a Filmsy.

3. Cut Fabric for Red Work blocks.

And of course I can't forget my RSC block, the color for February is Yellow.  Also my National Day Quilt needs a block for February 8th...National Kite Flying Day.  So I'll be working on this one this month.  So I've got a lot to keep me busy this month.....so I better get at it.  Hope you all.....

EVER HAVE ONE OF THOSE......

 weeks when your just not in the mood to blog?  This was my week last week.  I couldn't seem to find anything to blog about.    The Umbrella  and Crazy Quilts are still waiting to be sandwiched...still working on several projects.  One being my RSC 2020 blocks.  Yellow is the color for October...I've got 2 I'm working on embellishing.  This one is not finished yet...I couldn't figure out what to put in the empty spaces....where the sunflowers, pink stripes and the blue one.  So I've put it aside for now and moved on to another one.

This one was a lot easier to figure out.  I'll be adding some buttons and flowers to this one.

I finally got the lines on the pumpkin for my Fall Sampler.

And as if I need something else to work on...I've started a new project.  For years I've wanted to make a quilt of all the embroidery stitches I've learned over the years, these are stitches I've learned while doing TAST(Take a Stitch Tuesday) over at Sharon's place, Pintangle.  So I started one this past week. The first stitch I learned was the Buttonhole Stitch.

The next stitch is the Fly Stitch.

Even using a ruler, the line is still not straight....as I always say..."I can't draw a straight line with a ruler."  Maybe my ruler isn't straight...ha ha  Which is possible, believe it or not but I have a pair of scissors that doesn't cut straight.  Well I guess that's it for now...hope you all a wonderful stitching...

RSC 2020

YELLOW, YELLOW AND MORE YELLOW.....

 Over at So Scrappy today, the new color for October is posted for RSC 2020...and the color is.....

Yellow...pulled all my yellow's out....I've got a nice pile of scraps and some extra full cuts of yellow...I also cut my 8 1/2" squares of bleached muslin (that's what I had the most of)....so I'm ready to start making crazy quilt blocks.

IT'S SUNDAY! I THOUGHT IT WAS....

 Saturday....I lost a day somewhere...oh well.  I'll catch up..ha ha

I got all my RSC 2020...the color for September is red...the blocks are finished...on to October.

 The Cat/Mouse quilt for my niece is coming along.  I got the features on the mice...I really like the way they came out.

What I'm working on today is putting the Umbrella Quilt together.  I've got 2 rows on and the 3rd is pinned, just have to sew it together.  I've decided to use black binding for this quilt...I think the black will perfectly frame the umbrella's.  What do you think...let me know.

I've also been trolling the interned for fall items, pumpkins, trees, corn stalks...well you get it...I'm going to make a Fall Sampler from the blocks...I finally found a leaf I like for this tree.

I've only got 2 blocks partially done...Stacked Pumpkins and a Tree...the tree needs some leaves and the pumpkins need the lines put on them.

The Cat Quilt is in stall mode...I've been working on other "stuff" so haven't got anything else done on this one...I need to put the features on the mouse.

As for the Umbrella Blocks...I laid it out on the design "floor" and I still need one more blue block.

September 22nd through September 28th

1. Finish up the RSC blocks

2. Put some features on the mice

3. Do 1 more blue Umbrella

SCRAPPY RED.....

 I've been working on my Crazy Quilt blocks for RSC 2020...Got all the blocks made and am now embellishing them.  This is block 3.

I also finally made it to the hair dresser for a much needed hair cut.  This gal has been cutting my hair for 20 years...I like her a lot.  I've tried others, but Tammy is the best.  The pictures didn't come out like I wanted them to...but believe me I needed a hair cut BAD.

 I've got a Ta Da today...The Valentine Quilt is finished...this is also for To-Do Tuesday.  My list from September 8th through the 14th.

1. Finish the Valentine Quilt✔

2. Start embellishing the RSC 2020 blocks✔

3. Lay out the Umbrellas on my design "floor".✔

1. It was a pretty productive week...worked on my RSC 2020 blocks...started embellishing them.  Also got the Valentine Quilt done...yea!  This quilt is also my OMG and UFO Number Draw Challenge.

 2. Started the embellishments on my RSC 2020 blocks.  I've got 2 of them done.

3.  I put the Umbrella's out on the design wall "floor"...this is what I came up with, but that may change.  I've got a few more blocks to do and then one will be put together.  Haven't decided if I want to put a border between the rows or leave it as is.  The bottom row needs another blue one.  I like this!  I just may leave it without between borders and put a wide border on the edges.  What do you think?  Between borders or edge border???

The TAST stitch this week over at Pintangle is Whipped and Double Whipped Chain Stitch...this is my stitching.

BLOG SLUMP......

 Hi everyone,

I've been having a slump in blogging...didn't quite feel myself for a couple weeks...but I've got back on track.  I've got a few new things to share...so here goes.

First is a biggy to me...I FINALLY got Zoe's Quilt done and it went home with her yesterday...she was visiting last week.

This was my August OMG project...didn't quite make it...but it was close.  Speaking about OMG...my September goal is the Valentine Quilt..it's tied and I've started the binding.

I also got all my Crazy Quilt blocks for August done, the color was purple, they have all been embellished.  My grandson saw this block and said the yellow one at the bottom looks like Sponge Bob...I have to agree with him, it was just a lucky mistake this looks like Sponge Bob.

The new color for RSC 2020...September, is Red...so I pulled all my red scraps out and a few extra reds to add to the mix...I'll start working on them today.

So I've got something to keep me busy  for awhile...hope everyone has an awesome....

Today I'm going to work on the Valentine Quilt....needs to be tied...still haven't decided on the color for the binding.  If I have enough red fabric...that might be the binding.

1.  It's Tuesday, I've been waiting a week to put this post up...why you might ask....because I finally got Zoe's Quilt TIED!!!!!  I've also started putting the binding on...this is my OMG project for August

2.  The raindrop fabric was suppose to be the borders for my Umbrella blocks...but it went a little sideways...I'm going to throw a few blocks in the mix.  I've put umbrella's on the raindrop fabric.  Now I have to figure out a new color for my borders....ummm wonder what that could be??

 

 3.  I got all the binding for Zoe's Quilt cut...and is ready!

4.  I didn't get the binding for the Valentine Quilt done, but I've got it ready to start tying it.  The needle is threaded and yarn cut.  This is my August UFO for the Number Draw Challenge...over at Dream Worthy Quilts....the number this month is number 7.

5. I got Block 4 of my RSC 2020 challenge done...the color for August is purple...

Over at Sharon's place, Pintangle, it's time for TAST (Take A Stitch Tuesday)...want to learn a new embroidery stitch?  This is the place to do that.  Sharon posts a new embroidery stitch every Tuesday.  This week it's Woven Detached Chain...here's mine.
