A KIND OF PROGRESS......

To- Do Tuesday

June 23 through June 29
1. Tie Zoe's quilt
2. Make more Crazy Quilt Blocks
3. Work on Cat Quilt

To-Do #1
Been working on Zoe's quilt...it's been so blasted hot and humid here...that's it really hard to work on a quilt...even with the air conditioner on...it's hot and muggy.  I'm doing this quilt for the UFO Number Draw Challenge and OMG for July.

 To-Do #2
I'm all caught up on my RSC blocks...January - June...waiting to see what the new color for July is.  Now I just have to embellish them.

To-Do #3

I got 1 Cat block done.   Not quite sure how this quilt is going to turn out.  Haven't made up my mind as what to do with it.  I'll have to think about this one a while.  My cat still needs eye balls and whiskers..

Over at Sharon's place, Pintangle, it's TAST Tuesday(Take a Stitch Tuesday).  The stitch this week is Crossed Buttonhole...here is mine...It's a little wonky, but that's ok with me.  I'll get better at it with lots of practice...I'm planning on using the TAST stitches I've been learning on the Crazy quilt blocks for my RSC.

To-Do List
June 29th through July 6th
1. Work on tying Zoe's Quilt.(is a iffy thing as it's suppose to be in high 80's and 90's.)
2.  Do embellishment on Crazy Quilt blocks.
3.   Do some more Cat blocks.
4.  Cut and make binding for Zoe's Quilt.
5.  Sort through fabric for Red Work Quilt.

Have a great....

  1. Hi Sherrie! Aww, that cat block is cute even without eyes and whiskers. I can only imagine how much they will enhance it! Ugg, it's been hot and humid here as well. I can't imagine wanting to quilt anything right now, with it sitting on your lap. No way! Thanks for linking up today. ~smile~ Roseanne

  2. Zoe's Quilt is darling! I have only tied a quilt once, and I didn't even know that I was supposed to put it in a hoop first... I'm curious -- what kind of needle and thread/yarn are you using to tie the quilt, and how extensively did you need to baste the quilt ahead of time? Do you hand baste the layers or can you just spray baste the layers before tying a quilt?

  3. Sorry it is too hot to quilt. We just got or swamp cooler installed last week, and it was really needed!

Good luck on your OMG and NDC in the heat. One stitch at a time.

    Love the cat block!

  4. I hope you get a break in the weather more suitable for quilting. Zoe's quilt is fun, I am sure it is greatly anticipated. Thanks for linking to the Chameleon's Colour & Inspiration party. :)
