Well, today was the start of our school year. My grands jumped out of elementary school into middle school this year. They are both in 6th grade. So it's back to the school routine. They go to school an hour earlier and get out of school an hour earlier.
I have been working on my See ya Later Alligator project. I don't want to give away too much info about this, but my main focus on this quilt is Pine Trees. I've got a few done. I've got all my greens and browns sorted out and ready to cut. This is the project I worked on for Friday Night With Friends. I got several trees done.
For the Friendly Fill-ins....here are the questions this week.
1. I’d like to peek into __________’s closet. (My Granny's closet )
2, I secretly enjoy ______________.(Potato Chips...any kind will do.)
3. There’s no use crying over _________.(Things you can't change.)
4. If I don’t _________, I _________.(If I don't buy books, I'll have nothing to read......not really, I could always go to the library. But they don't have the Elly Griffiths Ruth Galloway books I'm reading.
I need to cut some muslin 6 1/2' blocks so I can work on some more purple baskets. And cut some more of the green strips.
So for tonight, I'll be cutting baskets, strips and muslin blocks. That should keep me busy and get these 3 items off my list. Hope you all have a great.....
Love your fill-ins. Potato chips are so good.
ReplyDeleteThank you for joining the Feline Friday Blog Hop.
Have a purrfect Feline Friday and weekend. ♥
Doesn't it seem that the grandkids go through school a lot faster than we did. My early school years did not fly by. But anyway, I love galas too and potato chips, any kind. They used to be a failing of mine but I seem to be in control now, LOL. You've got a great stitching night planned!
ReplyDeleteI just got my first Ruth Galloway book! Can't wait. And I can't wait to see that quilt!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to seeing your quilt! The time goes fast with grandkids, can't believe our oldest graduated high school this past year! Enjoy them while their young!
ReplyDeleteCute trees but probably not as cute as those grands. They would probably be horrified that I called them cute. Not cool for middle schoolers! haha! Have a great September!
