BOOKS AND FLOWERS......

Since I can't go to the library....it's closed due to the virus...I've been getting my books from Amazon...My son got me a Kindle Fire and I've been downloading them.  It's a little weird reading a book this way....but I'm getting used to it.

My newest addition is the Lies series by Andrew Cunningham.  I have started reading this, so haven't gotten too far into the book.  The end of the first chapter already has a murder.  Which is my favorite books to read.

All my book memes today come from...
All Lies - Andrew Cunningham

She wasn't my first online dating match, but she was certainly the strangest.

I got to Sabrina's room at about 10:15.  She greeted me wearing jeans and a Red Sox t-shirt.  She was barefoot.  I was in Love!

The question this week...

What platform do you use for your blog?

I use Bogger for my platform....I find it is much more easy to use....I've tried Wordpres and didn't like it all, to me anyway...it didn't seem to user friendly.

Floral Friday....

My Live Forever is growing good now...I planted it last fall..I thought for sue it had died , but it didn't!

Some info on this plant....
Hylotelephium is a genus of flowering plants in the stonecrop family Crassulaceae. It includes about 33 species distributed in Asia, Europe, and North America.
Species in the genus, formerly included in Sedum, are popular garden plants, known as "sedum", "stonecrop", "live-for-ever" or "orpine". Horticulturalists have hybridized many of the species to create new cultivars. Many of the newer ones are patented, so may not be propagated without a license.(Wikipedia)

Here are some of its best qualities
1) It requires little care.
2) It can thrive in a variety of different environments.
3) The hues of this flower are subtle and beautiful
4) I t provides interest in the garden year round

I also planted this....but can't remember what it is....any ideas?  The leaves are on a stalk and like fern leaves...total mystery to me as to what it is...

  2. Yay, plants and books, two of my favorite things. The book sounds intriguing. I didn't realize the name for Sedum had changed, but so many botanical names are different since they started checking DNA. Is your mystery plant perhaps a yarrow?

  3. This book sounds really good. I love my Kindle. I didn't think I would but as soon as I started reading on it, I haven't looked back. I hope you enjoy yours too.

  6. E-readers are so convenient, especially right now given so many libraries are closed. I know quite a few people who take advantage of their library's online catalog. I hope you enjoy your Fire!

All Lies sounds good. Online dating is such a mixed bag, but it seems to be pretty common these days. My brother met his wife via an online dating service. :-) She's a sweetheart.

    I definitely prefer Blogger too!

I hope you have a great week! Happy reading.

  7. Actually, I originally started out on Blogger, Sherri, but was tempted away to Wordpress.com with all their widgets, customisation options and formatting.
On 30th April I decided to go down the self-hosting route and found an affordable deal - Flora's Musings is now a WP.org self-hosted blog! 💜😊
I hope you enjoy the rest of your week, Sherri, stay safe and healthy.
