When you get your shot they give you a little card to carry with you to prove you had the shot.

I had the Johnson & Johnson shot, which consist of one shot.

ONCE IN A LIFE TIME....

Hi...thanks for stopping by.  Today I go for my Covid shot.  I'm 69 years old and I'll never live to see another Pandemic, so I'll be taking lots of pictures...I'll post all about it tomorrow.

On to happier STUFF.   I got the last Clam done on the Salt and Sand Quilt.  Started embroidering the lines on the Mussels, the Clams will have some too.

I hit a dead stop on my Red Work blocks.  The blocks are only 6 1/2 inches and I only have 8 of them.  I want to make this into a Lap Quilt.....So I had to come up with a different way of putting them together.  I put borders on them and I'll be adding a RED block between them.  I've had these Red Work blocks for years, so getting them done is a GREAT thing.  This is one block....they all have different colors for the borders.

I also got some crocheting done on my Ripple Afghan.  Where the white yarn is, that's where I was on my last post about this Afghan.

Well, that's it for today...I'm linking to:

TO-DO TUESDAY CATCH UP.....

 Hi everyone,

It's been a couple weeks since I posted my To-Do Tuesday list.  So I'll go on my last list from 2 weeks ago.

April 27th through May 3rd

1. Tie the Teapot Quilt/Progressing

2. Sandwich the Tile Quilt

3. Cut binding for Teapot Quilt

4. Sew more Clams to Salt and Sand.

Well, I got 3 things done from this list and 1 is progressing.   The Teapot Quilt needs a few more tied spots, then the binding starts.

And the Tile Quilt is sandwiched so it's next into the hoop to be tied.

Over the last 2 weeks I've got 1 more filmsey sandwiched.  And binding cut for them. It hasn't got a name yet...haven't decided what to call it.  It's kind of a Improv quilt.  Starting at the center, basket of hearts, marble fabric w/yo yo, Lincoln logs, stars and stripes fabric, and fish.  So there's lots of different things on this quilt.  Got any suggestions for a name??  Let me know what you think.

To-do list for May 18 through May 25th

1. Finish the Clams

2. Make more string blocks.

3. Cut the Gingham fabric.

4. Dig out UFO's and see which quilt needs worked on next.

Hope you all....

A SLECTION OF PROJECTS.....

At this time in my world....I have 4 projects I'm working on.  Plus 3 Quilts to Tie and Bind.  So I don't really need to start something new....but...I got my Red Gingham fabric a couple of days ago...and I'm dying to start cutting it into blocks to work on my Kitchen Quilt.  BUT...that will have to wait.!

For the last 3 or 4 days I've been working on my Salt and Sand Quilt.  I've got the last of the Clams pinned down and have started appliqueing them on.

I've got a nice little pile of Strip Blocks...but I'm going to have to have lots more to make a quilt out of this.  I'm making this one for me...for my bed.   These blocks are also for my Born to be Wild Quilt.  Are you doing the Blog Hop??  Need info on this?  Just hop HERE to get the info.

I've also started another Tile Quilt...only it's a Tiny Tile Quilt.  I'm using 3 1/2 inch muslin squares for the base.

Well, that's it for today...what are are stitching on today?  I'm linking up with:

A LITTLE SURPRISE...

I was digging around in my UFO box of quilt tops.  I found a Quilt I had started years ago.  Can't remember what I was doing with this quilt....so I'm calling it an Improv Quilt.  There's really no rhyme or reason to this quilt...well, you'll see....

see what I mean...you have a basket with hearts...marbles fabric w/yoyos..Lincoln Logs, Stars and Stripes, Fish and the final border of blue fern.  Anyhow, I got this sandwiched along with...

The Tile Quilt

So now I've got 3 quilt to tie and bind.

I took a stroll around the yard yesterday...My Iris are blooming...

We also added some Lupines

and Petunia's to the front garden.  The Petunia's look kine of lonely, but they will spread out over the summer and fill the pot.

The Calla Lille's we planted last year are dong wonderful.

Well, that's it for today...what are you working on today?  I'm linking up with...

WHEN NOT QUILTING.....

I work on my flower beds...well my son helps a lot with that.  At the moment the Iris is blooming.

We just added some Lupine's and Calla Lillie's to the front garden.  It's still a work in progress.  Haven't quite got it all organized yet.

On the quilting front...still working on several projects.  I've got a bag full of odds and ends scraps.  I can't stand to throw them away.  They aren't big enough to use, but still I can't throw the away.  Sooooo, I decided to make a Tiny Tile Quilt with them.  The blocks are 3 1/2".

It will take a lot of these to make a quilt, but I have lots of scraps to work with.  Don't we all!  Do you save your tiny scraps?

QUILTS AND BOOKS.....

 Hi everyone,

To all those awesome MOMS out there...

Quilts I'm working on....

The Teapot Quilt is being tied...

I've been working on my STRIPS...I have a pretty good stack of them now.  I've been pulling some of my "more" colorful fabrics to put in this, I tend to buy off the bargain table, so I get a lot of fabrics no  one would usually buy.

I've also been reading...I kind of lost my book mojo sometime in the last 5 years.  So I've decided to go back to my basics...read authors I like.  This is my personal challenge.  James Patterson is my most favorite author.  I've read all the Alex Cross series.  So I've decided to start on the Micheal Bennett series.  The first book is "Step on a Crack".  So far it's keeping me reading which is the idea of doing this.   You can see my list of books in my tabs section.

UPDAT: OLD AND NEW PROJECTS......

Well, I had a squirrel snick into my projects....

I got an e-mail from Needle & Thread...Mary Corbet is doing a series on small embroidery projects.  I decided to do the Daisy.  I'm still on Part 1...but making progress.  I've added a Gadget on my side bar with links to the Daisy, also a link to the other little projects Mary is sharing, if you want to try them.

It's also time for a report on my Band Sampler....This is a challenge over at Needle & Thread.  The idea is to stitch something everyday and to only use the threads you already have...NO NEW THREADS.  I've always wanted to do a Band Sampler and it seemed like the best time to start one.  Although I've been kind of lax in stitching every day.

Over at Scrap Happy, it's time to show off your RED.  I'm doing a basket for each month for RSC 2021..the color for May is Red....this is my little RED basket.

Well, that's it for today...I'm linking up with...

DREARY THURSDAY.....

It's raining again, usually we have raining weather in April, but it appears it's going to be May...we are having April weather in May...go figure.  Hoping it lets up enough to get the tomato plants in the ground.

I've been crocheting the last couple of days.  Working on my Ripple Afghan.  I've made 14 of these afghan over the years.  And they are all used.

I've almost got the Teapot Quilt Tied...I'll be finishing that up today.  I'll also be cutting my binding for this quilt today.  Hoping I get started on it this evening.

I got a couple books from the library today.  I'm starting a new book series by James Patterson. It's the Michael Bennett series by James Patterson.  Book 1 is Step on a Crack....James Patterson is one of my favorite authors.

IT'S A SLOW MONDAY.....

Well, here we are at Monday again....some days go fast and some go slow.  Just like my quilting.  The same goes for months.  It's the 3rd of May already and I still haven't gotten the Teapot Quilt tied or the Tile Quilt sandwiched.  It seems to help me get motivated by making a list of things I want to get done.  Or even better, join up with a Meme that is working on a quilt I want to finish.  And WOOFA  is the perfect place to be.  WOOFA is over at Gone Stitchin'.  My WOOFA project for May is to finish the Teapot and Tile quilts.  We'll see how far I get on this. lol  The Teapot quilt is in my hoop waiting to be tied and I still need to cut the fabric for the binding.

The Tile Quilt is a filmsey.  It needs to be sandwiched, tied and binding added.

So these 2 quilts will be my main focus this month.  Hopefully I'll have a couple of finishes I can share with you by months end.

RSC 2021...MAY COLOR IS RED.....

All my RSC blocks this year are a basket block.  I'm making one for every month.  The color for May is...RED.  My pile of Red fabric...

Some how I forgot to post my Blue block...so here is the April Block.  I'm actually getting low on light blue fabric...so I used this plaid, which has light blue in it.

It's a new month...so my OMG for May is to tie and bind the Teapot Quilt.  It's in the hoop right now.  So I might actually get it done this month!  This is also from my PHD 2021 list of quilts to finish.

I've also started a String Quilt.  I really like putting these together.
